"Cliff was very communicative and prompt to finish my job! He quickly quoted my job and had the appointment made to cut down and grind a very large stump that another company never came back and finished. He came when he said he was going to and did a quick and great job, making sure to dig all of the tree, including roots, out of the ground. Would highly recommend using if any tree services are needed!"

"Edwin Par, owner-operator of Long Horn Tree Solution (346-831-2028), and his crew recently did a fantastic job removing several trees and pruning others on our property. They arrived even before the appointed time and put in a full day of work, displaying great work ethic along with a super congeniality and quick response to our needs. Edwin himself demonstrated the knowledge of an arborist, making recommendations as to how to deal with various issues and pruning prize trees. He was congenial, perseverant, and responsive to our needs. We were most pleased with their work, including falling huge trees, pruning expertly, stacking debris at the curb, grinding stumps and cleaning up, and give Edwin our highest recommendation."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Make sure the tree roots soak around a day before you dig the tree up for the transplant. Keep the roots wet while the tree is above ground. After the transplant is finished, provide consistent water every day for the first month or so. You don’t want to overwater the tree, but you do want to keep the roots wet so they can thrive in their new environment.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Removing branches incorrectly can jeopardize the health of the tree and could lead to you being on the hook to replace it.
