We are a small family owned electrical contractor operating out of Hamilton County. We offer over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry.

"(Brian)Owner of this company serviced my Elderly parents 5 year old home, by adding some more lighting in their hallways and outdoors. Being in Southern California many hours away from them I could not handle these tasks for them as I'm an active electrician 23 years in the trade. When I went to visit I notice loose fixtures, cross threaded screws also multiple unsecured\uncovered junction boxes in their attic also with wrong sized connectors and even missing connectors. Looked like roses were growing in the attic from all the wire nuts hanging out. A combination of 12wire and 14wire spliced together indicating to me they ran out of wire or just grabbed what they had rather than using proper wire. Brian told my parents he was going to put up wired motion lights outside for them... The lights were cheap cheap lights and were screwed directly to the wall and battery operated not a single wire in sight. The scope of workmanship I witnessed is beyond horrible , I'm still sick to my stomach they took $5000 from my parents . When I addressed Brian on my concerns and outstanding issues , he got very defensive with me saying he doesn't know who I'm talking about or has never been to that job. We have a written work order and will be following this up!"

With a lifetime of exposure to the home service industry, Nick is well known for his skill around the house. Growing up with a father that is in the rental business, he has been exposed to all kinds of repairs and issues with homes. We accept credit card payments. There will be a 3% charge on swiped cards and 4% charge if the card is entered manually online, phone, tablet, computer, and/or etc...

"Everything went well. Nick is very personable. After discussing what work I needed done, Nick explained how the project would progress and when. He made sure I wasn’t inconvenienced during the job. All the debris from the concrete removal was hauled away before the cement was poured. I was very pleased with the results."

Cowboy's Consolidated Services (C.C.S.) in Martinsville, Indiana services all of Central Indiana's home and business General Contracting needs. We are a local, family & disabled veteran owned & operated business. We believe in top quality work and 100% customer satisfaction. Top quality. To some that sounds expensive. But, it doesn't have to be, as founder Mike Lyle realized in 2008. He noticed that every construction service he worked for was always up charging materials and cutting corners. Profit was #1. He realized that this was not the way to go, so he struck out on his own. He determined the job was going to be done right, by qualified pros, at a fair price. So that's exactly what we do, from electrical & plumbing service charges (often 20% less than competitors) to not charging a penny more than we pay for materials. Our pros are drug screened & background checked, have verified experience or participate in a structured apprenticeship which includes classroom and on the job training. All our pros (including our office staff) take continuing education courses for their trade. We are affiliated with the PDCA (Painting & Decorating Contractors of America, NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) and others. We are insured and licensed, and we can provide as many references as you need. We back our work by conducting a walk through of the finished project with each client prior to final payment, for painting & coatings we have a 30 day free touch up and we warranty the labor on each project which is transferable. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. We offer seasonal specials as well as our year round senior, public safety, and military/veteran discounts.

"He never shows up at the time he states. When he leaves for supplies it can take hours for him to return and blames it on other people at the store. Fails to provide receipts to show actual amount spent on materials. Constantly ask for money for gas. When you point out things that he did that needs corrected he states such and such is the reason it’s that way; for instance he repaired part of the floor by my door cut the bored crooked and said it was the way my floor tiles were that made it look that way, that was not the case. He also drinks on the job. My doors are not in straight, pointed out and he said they were straight. The ramp on my deck need more support and he told me he would do it but did not. He also needed an extra beam on the ramp hand rail but said it did not need it. I told him not to come back and my husband and brother are having to fix his mess ups. I know we over paid him for materials; my husband works at Lowe’s (where he bought the stuff) and knows how much all of it would cost."

FAQs for electrical service projects in Nineveh, IN

It’s important to ask an electrician a few questions before you commit to hiring them so you can make an informed decision as a consumer. If you’re getting estimates or considering hiring an electrician, ask them these questions:

  • Are you a full-time electrician?

  • Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?

  • What level of experience do you have as an electrician?

  • Can you please share three references?

  • Do you do residential or commercial electrical work?

  • What kinds of electrical work are you most familiar with?

  • Will any subcontractors be performing the work?

  • Are permits and inspections required?

  • Who is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections?

  • What is your schedule?

  • Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Will you sign a do-not-exceed clause to keep the job within the budget?

Tipping an electrician is not a requirement nor is it expected, as they build a fair wage into the price of the job. It’s up to your discretion. There are no set rules for tipping electricians, but if they did a great job and you’re so inclined to tip 10% to 15%, it will likely be received with thanks.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.

Yes, although there are different types of electricians, they must be licensed, certified, and in most cases insured. States have different requirements for electrician licensing and certifications. In some cases, there may be licensing requirements at the local level, but not the state level. It’s always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. If licensing is not required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed electrician with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
