"Fantastic service and excellent experience. My experience with Bradley and his team has been outstanding. They built and installed new seamless gutters with proper down spouts to replace my previous gutters. Thank you for doing this job so quickly and professionally. Highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"Very respectful/respectable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality company. The gentleman that was here did a fantastic job installing our new gutters. He fixed our soffits that were in complete disarray and considered it apart of the job. We requested he use the downspouts we previously had on the house. Without being asked to; he even painted them for us. He left the workplace more clean than when he had arrived and even discarded scrap that was on my property beforehand. I often read reviews and am skeptical of committing to a purchase because I wonder if someone has personal ties to a company. I will tell you that I have never met anyone associated with the business prior to the job and have 0 ties. I am currently considering screen or something of the sort to keep my gutters clean and I will without a doubt use givens gutters once more. They also beat the next most reasonable quote we had received by $400."

They were very friendly and did great work. Everything was picked up and clean. Except for not returning phone calls or texts, they do really great work"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

How you stop water from leaking between your gutters and fascia depends on the cause of the leak. Some leaks can be fixed simply by cleaning out clogged gutters or downspouts. Other leaks require you to seal holes or cracks in your gutters. Meanwhile, some leaks are a structural issue that requires replacing, changing, or adjusting your gutter system.

In most cases, it makes more sense to repair leaking or damaged gutters than it will to replace them. You’ll spend an average of $400 to repair your gutters, while full replacement will cost around $2,000 or more, depending on the gutter material and style and the size of your home. If your gutters are nearing the end of their lifespan—usually around 20 years for aluminum or vinyl gutters or up to 50 years for copper or steel—then it might make sense to replace them, as it could cost you less in the long run.

The duration of a repair job can range from a few hours to several days. Simpler issues may take 1-4 hours, while more complex work or extensive damage could take 1-3 days. The final timeline depends on the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the location of the work.

There are a handful of things you can look for to determine if you need to pay for gutter repairs, including the following:

  • Water leaking from the underside of your gutters during rainfall

  • Visible gaps between your gutters and your roof

  • Frequent issues with gutters overflowing or holding standing water

  • Gutters that sag or pull away from the house

  • Water damage to soffits, fascia boards, or other building materials

  • Mold growth on your exterior walls

  • Soil erosion underneath your roof overhang

  • Foundation leaks or inward bowing of foundation walls

Buried downspouts can freeze during cold weather as cold water runs through them. If you’ve discovered your downspouts are frozen, you can carefully pour hot water down the top of the downspout to defrost them. If that doesn’t work, you may need to dig your downspout back up. Avoid trying to break the ice from the exterior using a hammer as this can cause cracks and damage to your downspout.

To avoid freezing the future, consider adding a heating cable to the exterior, which can adjust heat based on the surrounding temperature.
