"We were very satisfied with the work that was done. We would recommend Chod’s. He arrived on time and wasted no time getting the work done. "

Using local high school and college football players, Big Guys Inc. specializes in heavy lifting, moving, and other general labor (including but not limited to landscaping and mulching).

"Great bunch of young men with their football Coach from Homestead HS. They cost a little less than the regular firms in town and do just as good a job."

Crystal Knafel is the owner/operator of Dynamic Landscaping and has been in landscaping and gardening for more than 10 years. Crystal has a passion for unique garden designs that make you stop for a second glance. An immaculate lawn combined with striking garden design is what makes Dynamic Landscaping truely Dynamic.

"DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!! We hired them to remove and replace a blue spruce tree. First, we paid considerably more than other quotes but did so based on their marketing. 1. They installed the new tree and left the job unfished. 2. They charged us for an 8?-foot tree - which we ordered and got a 5? tree and then only offered a $50. price reduction. 3. In the process, they drove through our yard after promising not to, doing serious damage. Conclusion: they spend their money on marketing, vs delivering quality work. Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Whether tree roots will regrow after the tree has been cut down depends on the species. Some eventually tree roots die, as they lack photosynthesis; however, others can resprout from the roots and even produce new growth for up to seven years or more, if they belong to a species that reproduces through root sprouts.

The fastest tree-stump killing method is stump grinding. Professional stump grinders can chip away at the stump and remove its roots within one session, potentially more for extra-large stumps. However, we recommend hiring a local stump grinding professional for this task because the machinery is dangerous to operate without prior experience, increasing the safety risk and likelihood of a more difficult removal.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.

It is possible to plant a tree over a ground stump if it was ground very deeply. However, it is typically best to plant elsewhere so your new tree has room to establish a strong, healthy root system. If you want to plant a tree in the same spot where you currently have a stump, you may want to consider other options, such as stump removal.

While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.
