"This company is a RIP OFF....I have been stupid enough to give them a chance for 3 years and they continued to DISAPPOINT!! The techs sit in their trucks clocking time spent on the service as I watch them from my house. They do my front and back yard treatment in LESS than 3 min.!! This summer I called them NUMEROUS times to complain and NO ONE ever returned my calls (at least 5)!! DO NOT waste your money like I did....my lawn looks the worse it has ever looked...thanks to their CRAPPY service."

You don't want to over-fertilize your lawn because it can burn the grass and even kill it. Healthy soil usually requires two fertilization applications a year during the height of the growing season. Because it’s native to the central United States and Canada and is drought-tolerant, it typically is not difficult to grow. It requires very little maintenance and minimal watering beyond rainfall. Its hardy nature and unique look make it a favorite choice among people living in the western United States and other dry regions of the country. 

Properly preparing the soil for planting grass seed may include applying fertilizer several weeks before spreading the seed if you plan to overseed the lawn. However, in most cases involving a brand-new lawn, spreading a starter fertilizer along with the grass seed will give it the best chance of taking root quickly and growing strong.

If it’s been a few weeks and you haven’t seen anything pop up, double-check your seed packet and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Did they need cold stratification (putting seeds in the freezer and then transferring to water before planting)? Do they have an exceptionally long germination period? 

 If you’ve followed all of the directions closely, you may just have had a bad batch of seeds. (Sadly, it happens.)
