"I accepted a quote from 3D in July 2022. After they received my 50% deposit for adding to my driveway the company never completed the work and never returned a call, and there were many calls. I texted the man who quoted me and he stated that he was "working on my refund". I asked him when and he said he didn't know. The next 2 texts he has not responded to. Fast forward to 2023, no refund and no return call or text. I have reported them to the Indiana Attorney General as well as the BBB. They are a horrible business at best, scammers at worst, either way stay away if you don't want to have your 50% deposit stolen."

"Biggest scam I e ever experience. The charged me 40k after interest to fix my sagging foundation, and fix my flooding crawl space. After an impressive sales pitch I signed the contract and had them do the ?work?. dusing the sales pitch they told me they would level my floors, and install equipment to prevent my crawl space from flooding every year. They explained this will be a multiple day project and I would have to rip up my floor to give the access to the foundation. So I ripped up my floor, and had them come in to do the work. They were in and out in about 4 hours, and left me with still sagging floors. after Getting in the crawl space myself I discovered that multiple of the jacks that they installed to lift the foundation, weren?t even touching the joists. And to this day, my crawl space still floods with a foot of water every spring. I contacted Ayer?s to see what can be done, they offered no compensation, and no help. If you?re planning to hire Ayer?s, dont"

It depends on whether you think it is worth it to make your own concrete. While you can save a lot of money making your own concrete and pouring your own concrete slab, it's an advanced DIY. Adding too much or too little water can offset the savings of skipping the professional, as the wrong mixture will not allow the concrete to cure properly for your unique project.

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

Epoxy and polyurethane sealers can last five to 10 years, while acrylic sealers last two to three years or more depending on the use, wear of the surface, and type of sealer you choose. Areas that see heavy traffic or extreme ice and snow may require more frequent sealing. Test your concrete every two years to gauge how it responds to absorbing water or if it fully repels it for longer than 20 seconds.

Whether or not you need reinforcements for your concrete slab depends on the thickness, what you’ll use the slab for, and the climate and soil conditions in your area. Adding reinforcements increases the strength and durability of your concrete slab, so it’s ideal for load-bearing slabs like driveways and home foundations. It can also help reduce the risk of cracking in extreme climates and areas that see excessive soil movement. Speak with your professional to determine if your project requires reinforcement.

You should have at least 4 to 6 inches of compactable base under your concrete slab. Your contractor may recommend more depending on the structure.
