"Ken Gregory repainted house trim and our deck. He was initially held up last spring by rain. The rain continued throughout the time he painted and we expressed concern the damp surfaces might create a problem. He reassured us he painted under these conditions all the time The job was a problem from day one. He told me he was behind due to the weather and his work seemed rushed as he worked in and around rain. We first called him back to repaint areas he had missed. He gave us a hard time but begrudgingly returned. We marked the areas and retouched those HE felt were missed. I recalled Ken today regarding the deck -after just 9 months many areas have already peeled showing bare wood. I asked him to come take a look. After accusing me of dragging furniture across the deck; he then said he doubted my word and told me I should repaint the bare areas myself. At this point he hung up This man did a very poor job, and on top of that is rude and unprofessional. Deck has numerous areas where paint has already come off just 9 months after job completion Gave us a hard time when we asked Mr Gregory to return to repaint trim areas he missed Upon calling today regarding the deck after asking him to return to look at the deck he told me to repaint the areas myself and then hung up. Ken has only 1 standard of performance-his- and apparently believes homeowner complaints are unreasonable or imagined I would never recommend anyone to use him"

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.
Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.
Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase
Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers
Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement
Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks
There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
