"It was great from start to finish. They were very professional, courteous, affordable, and efficient. They kept me well informed of when the job would start, the progress, and the completion. Even with a couple of issues that were beyond their control, such as weather, they were able to complete the job within less than a week. My house looks beautiful and my neighbors are calling to tell me how awesome they think the house looks. I would highly recommend Sun-Ray Roofing and would not hesitate to hire them again."

"Our experience was a great ride, almost like it was meant to be.  We had stopped at ABC Supply to get roof samples to chose a color and style for our house.  My husband struck up a conversation with a guy that was picking up material for a job.  It turned out to be Mike Gregory, Production Manager for DWC Restoration, during the conversation, he told my husband he was from Shelbyville.  Mike gave my husband a business card and we discovered that he lived across the street from some apartments we owned.  After we decided on the shingle we wanted, we gave Mike a call.  He came down the following week on Wednesday evening to figure the job.  We had plan to get another bid, but after reading reviews and looking at a couple houses that they had completed, considering the bid was within our budget, we decided to go for it.  We wanted to get it done this month and Mike said they would have it done by end of July.  They actually called and said they could start it a couple days early.  They had 10-11 men on the job and in 1.5 days they had the job completed, property very clean and we have a beautiful roof.  The crew that did our home was amazing, everyone worked like a well oiled machine.  They worked together like an assembly line and never missed a beat.  We watched our neighbor get a new roof and her property was a mess for 3 weeks with tarps in area during a rain.  I knew that I could live with a mess like that, so I am so glad that we found DWC Restoration.  Our property was completed efficiently and swiftly, this makes me a happy camper. We want to commend Mike Gregory because he was a great coordinator, plus very knowledgeable of the products and the application.  If anyone would like to see a stunning new roof and a neat job, I would be glad to send pictures that was taken during the complete job.  I want to thank Mike Gregory, DWC Restoration and his amazing crew for my beautiful roof, but my husband is probably even more appreciative than me because he married to a very impatient girl."

"The man who came, cleaned out the back of the refrigerator. He was even kind enough to let me clean the floor when he moved the refrigerator out. When he got done, my refrigerator purred. He was wonderful. I also liked the fact that I sent in my request online on a Sunday and my refrigerator was fixed before noon on Monday. My first call with this company and I am very very pleased."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Avoid plush, high-pile, or thick carpets on your stairs because they can increase the risk of slipping and wear down quickly in busy homes. Also, ensure the carpet you install is stain-resistant, particularly if you select a light color.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.

While not always required, experts recommend removing baseboards before removing old carpet and installing a new one. This practice leads to a smoother process and a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. Removing the baseboards allows for a seamless carpet installation without the risk of damaging either the carpet or the trim. It also provides a good opportunity to repaint or stain the baseboards and inspect the underlying wall for any issues. If you prefer a quicker option, you can carefully cut the old carpet along the edge of the baseboards, but this may result in a less polished installation for the new carpet.

Yes, there are plenty of ways to lay stair carpet without grippers, such as carpet adhesive, magnetic flooring, or staples. Adhesive may be your best bet if you don’t want grippers, as it will most likely stick the best and cause the least amount of damage. However, if you’re looking for an easy fix, grippers are one of the best solutions you can purchase.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet
