We run four crews to better serve the community. We work out of several local supply houses, but have four bathrooms and a kitchen on display at Eagle Tile (On Fern hill behind Glenbrook Mall) on which our guys completed all the work. Therefore, potential clients can see the quality of our work first-hand, while not having to pay the overhead for the showroom which normally means lower prices than our competitors but the highest quality standards in the industry. Our company is also certified by the EPA for lead based paint removal. Additional contact names - Stephen Neeley, Melanie Neeley. Additional DBA - Serenity Kitchen. Additional email - [email protected]. Award winning. Award wining.

"I am very pleased with the kitchen remodel done by Serenity Kitchen and Bath. I LOVE the finished product. They did a wonderful job and are wonderful people to work with. I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing a remodel done."

Honorable Home Repairs, Inc. has been serving customers in the Fort Wayne area since 2005. I have been in the home repair business over 35 years. We value honesty, integrity and pride ourselves in prompt customer service. We are family owned and operated. It is our pleasure to serve you! Dennis Hughes, Owner

"Dennis Hughes is NOT a licensed contractor in Allen County. We could never get him to show proof of insurance or bonding. I hope that this review will prevent someone from hiring this company. We hired him to redo a patio roof. The flashing around the utilities pipe was improperly done. The roofing was installed backwards and lacked the proper amount of nails. It was not connected to the house properly. The gutter was installed so that it was useless and prevented windows from opening. We tried to get him to correct the work but he always had some excuse for not doing the work. He was rude and combative and refused to bring his paperwork to prove he was licensed and insured. He yelled at me and my brother as we tried to help my mother resolve this issue. We finally had to hire someone else to completely redo it. I wish that the address for this work would not be revealed to Dennis."

Locally Owned. We are a family owned local business that was started by Cedric DuHadway. Now Mike, Jim, and JoAnn, the third generation, own and operate DuHadway under the same original name. Some companies have changed names several times in just the last several years. We have continued the tradition of offering quality products at a fair price. One of the best ways to maintain quality control is to use full time employees to install your windows, doors, and siding projects. We don’t use subcontractors. The problem with many subcontractors and other companies’ employees is how they are paid. They are usually paid by the job. If there is a problem and they take the time to work through it, their pay is cut. We don't pay our people on a piecework basis. We know it is a bad way to keep quality work. We know because we have been working with homeowners since 1946.

Closets questions, answered by experts

You can budget a little less money for how to build a closet with wire shelves than with wood shelves. Some people don’t like the aesthetics that wire shelves provide, though, meaning they’ll gladly spend a little more to add wood shelves to the build. If you decide to buy pre-made wire shelves instead of building custom-sized wood shelves, you’ll be restricted in the closet shelving dimensions you can use.

Although you can complete a closet frame in just an afternoon, finishing the entire closet will take a few days to a week. However, that’s still not as much as the average time it takes to remodel a closet, which can take anywhere from several weeks to more than a month. That’s because you also have to consider the time it will take to demolish the existing space, plan a new design, order materials, and actually install it.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.

A "reach-in pantry" is a smaller, cabinet-style pantry that allows you to grab items by simply reaching inside. On the other hand, a "walk-in pantry" is like a closet or small room that offers a larger space that you can physically enter to get your food. Walk-in pantries allow for more customizable shelving. A reach-in pantry is usually around 5 feet wide by 2 feet deep, while a walk-in pantry is closer to 5 feet by 5 feet or larger.

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.
