"Had new seamless gutters installed by Bath Planet and the materials and workmanship are top notch! Sales process was very smooth and informative. I might have gotten a little better price elsewhere, but not for the quality of the product. The gutter will outlast my tile roof! I am a very satisfied customer."

Streib has been extremely responsive and professional, doing excellent work throughout.

In one case where they had installed a spare conduit alongside the buried power line, we were told by the cable company that there was no way they could get their cable through the conduit. Streib came out and put in a cable in at no charge. Note that Streib responded immediately, whereas the cable company had taken weeks to get round to something that they subsequently decided couldn't be done.

Streib is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

"They told me what I needed and why. They countered and gave me some things to change me mind on how I wanted to do some things. The workers were fine. I think they knew their stuff."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Designs typically take 2-6 months, depending on factoring, project size, and customization needs. Larger or more complex designs may require additional time for approval and revisions.

It usually takes around four to six months to build and install a modular home, although your timeline could go up to around eight months if there are delays in the manufacturing or permitting process. Heavy site preparation and foundation pouring can extend that timeline if you need them, as can customizations you want for your modular home. Your modular home company should be able to provide an estimate for the construction timeline before you sign any contracts or agree to any work.

When you think about Arts and Crafts-style homes, you probably think of a Craftsman house or a bungalow-style Craftsman. Craftsman is one of the major styles developed during the Arts and Crafts movement, but it checks most boxes. Craftsman houses have low-pitched roofs, exposed rafters, open floor plans, and stunning wood finish.

Buying a house is easier than building one from scratch. Buying an existing home is almost always faster, even if you need to make renovations once you move in. When you hire the right team to build a home, they will simplify the design and build phases so that there is little guesswork throughout the process, but building new construction will almost always take longer than buying an existing home.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.
