"AJC Home Services was here this morning about 8:30 to cut down 12 very tall Evergreen trees. I watched them do this and it was very interesting to see the whole process. The 2 gentlemen were professional, hard working and thorough. They had them all cut down along with the clean-up in under 90 minutes. The stump grinding crew are on their way, as I write this to complete the job."

I recently became a new father to a baby boy and decided it would be best for my wife to be a stay at home mom and focus on her small business. I work 50+ hours a week at my full time job and just want some side jobs to do to make some extra cash and hope fully this turns into having regular customers and the start of a business for myself. We don’t really have much extra spending money to do fun things that a family should so I’m trying to fix that a little bit. I’m not the best at everything but I will try my best to learn and do the best that I can at anything I do. If you decide to hire me to do some work I will put all my effort into what I do. Any amount of wetness is too much to mow grass, including morning dew. When you mow wet grass, you’re more likely to damage your grass blades and your mower. Fungal diseases are more likely to grow and spread, and you could tear your blades instead of cutting them crisply, leading to brown tips. It’s best to wait until your grass is dry to mow and keep up with lawn mower maintenance.

Because it’s native to the central United States and Canada and is drought-tolerant, it typically is not difficult to grow. It requires very little maintenance and minimal watering beyond rainfall. Its hardy nature and unique look make it a favorite choice among people living in the western United States and other dry regions of the country. 

First, make sure you’re watering your grass early in the morning (and keep in mind you don’t have to water every day). Doing this helps ensure the water is able to soak in before the hot temps evaporate all of the water. Also, when you mow, don’t mow your grass as short as you would in non-drought conditions. Taller grass can help slow down the rate at which soil dries out. Finally, take your leftover lawn clippings and spread them out across the lawn to give it a little extra shade and nutrients.

This scenario is not ideal if you spend lots of time in your yard or if you have pets. If you spray pesticide then this can also harm the pollinators. However, you can make a DIY tick killer with more natural ingredients to avoid using toxic chemicals.

Carpetgrass is a low-maintenance grass requiring little fertilization that thrives in subprime growing conditions. However, regular mowing is necessary to avoid the growth of unsightly seed stalks, and you may have to water it frequently to prevent drying out the soil. That includes watering the grass over dry winters to help keep it healthy, and it may start dying out in particularly cold climates where it grows poorly. Carpetgrass can also be vulnerable to some types of turf fungus, so it’s important not to overthatch.
