"Jill, our project manager, is one of the absolute hardest working people I know. If she says she’ll be there: she’ll be there. She is ethical and transparent; you never have to worry if you’re getting the best deal she can get you, she just does it automatically. Because that’s who she is as a person and how she treats everyone. The crew did an excellent job on our roof and sun tunnel installation. They took care of our historic home well and were thorough throughout the job with their cleanup, making sure every nail was picked up afterwards and every shingle accounted for. They communicated with us on every step of the process, letting us know when to expect our project to begin and instructions on how the work was going to proceed. The project work was quick and efficient. It took a total of 2-3 days to complete. We love our new sun tunnels! Our new roof couldn’t be more perfect, and we couldn’t be happier with the project as a whole. I would 100% recommend H&F Exteriors."

"The project manager and crew did an excellent job, were very hard working and answered all of our requests kindly. Our project isn't finished yet, delays were due to our schedule, they have been super cooperative and we are looking forward to using this beautiful addition to our home. They built a sunroom on top of our existing deck."

FAQs for gazebo service projects in Troy, IL

While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.

It might seem counterintuitive, but the best time to install a paver patio is during late fall to winter. The cold and wet weather of those seasons can help your patio installer perfect the foundation for your patio. Plus, you'll likely be able to find better sales and deals during the colder months when patio installation business is typically slower. Consult a local patio paver professional to determine the best time to install based on your area’s climate.

The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.

Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9 per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.

A paver patio can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years, depending on the type of pavers and how well you maintain them.

Travertine pavers are usually the most durable, lasting 100 years or more, with regular maintenance. Concrete brick pavers have a variety of shapes and colors available and typically last 25 to 50 years. Traditional brick pavers have a more classic look, lasting around 20 years with proper maintenance.

The cost of a paver patio is $3,800 for a 280-square-foot patio on average. Depending on the patio size, paver material, and design complexity, this cost can range from $2,400 to $7,000 or more.

The size of your patio is a significant factor in the project’s overall cost. If you're building a smaller patio of only 60 square feet, your costs will be closer to $480 to $1,500. If you want a more luxurious 900-square-foot patio, you'll spend closer to $7,200 to $22,500.
