"This company is fantastic. They repaired my subfloor and installed hardwood flooring. Not only are they reputable, but they're very fair with their pricing. I will definitely keep them in my repertoire. It's rare when you find legitimate businesses with integrity."

"Mark was very fair and honest about the job in advance, and then when we were mid-way, after sanding, we learned that the wood in the floors was different than expected. He met with us again to re-group and figure out if we needed to change our plan for staining and finishing, and he was totally agreeable. We were also worried mid-way because we had never done floors without polyurethane. Mark was totally and completely right! The floors look great with a water based finish, the odor was less offensive and for less time, and the final appearance is beautiful. In all, he was flexible and accommodating to our needs."

"We know they cut the carpet to fit and seamed the edges somehow but we cannot tell where the seams meet. Flawless like it was custom made for our room that was very large. Mr. O' Brien's staff was very courteous and professional and careful in moving our belongings. It was hard to tell they had even been there as they cleaned up the mess and all we had left to do was to pay them and enjoy our new living space. When we need to replace carpet or stretch our flooring we will be sure to call them back. Awesome job.

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

Land surveying can help give clear guidance on your property boundaries for numerous situations. And in some cases, having your land surveyed is a requirement. Some common reasons to have your land surveyed include:

  • Planning for construction projects, like building a fence

  • Locating utilities, such as plumbing fixtures

  • Settling property line disputes

  • Creating subdivisions

  • Meeting mortgage requirements

  • Selling your property

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.
