About us
Family owned & operated, majority of work is by customer referrals. Two employees, no criminal records or use of sub contractors. Owner is on the job site. Cost determined by the job. We do not have a showroom because we prefer to pass on the savings to our customers by keeping our overhead low. Quality Wood Flooring offers installation of wood flooring and also refinishing of existing floors. We can also provide and install Luxury Vinyl Products. We can provide the raw material with job site install and/or finishing. We also can provide pre-finished flooring, or you can provide the material and we install it. We prefer not to show color samples when bidding the job site finished flooring, instead we show the stain colors on your floor after sanding, in your lighting, to get the true custom color you desire. We are a member in good standing of the Better Business Bureau. We service the entire St. Louis and Metro east area. Free estimates over the phone, or in person, if you are within 50 miles. We are insured and most of our business is from word of mouth. We book up quickly, so please try to contact us as soon as possible to get on our schedule. We try to accommodate our customers as much as possible, and will work some weekends to fit people in, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee to be available for you, unless you give us adequate notice. We can be booked up at least a month in advance, but schedules change, and can be adjusted, so do not be afraid to call, and we will try and accommodate you.

Mark and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. We installed white oak hardwood flooring throughout our entire first floor. They were stained and finished on site, and Mark and his team completed the project in a very timely manner. They arrived on time each morning, were very clean and friendly, and the quality of work far exceeded our expectations. They took measure to never leave the house dusty when they were done for the day, and put multiple stain choices down for us when we were having trouble picking a color. We received multiple bids before starting the project, and Quality Wood Flooring was very competitive and fairly priced. We are thrilled with the results, and highly recommend Mark and Quality Wood Flooring for any of your hardwood needs.

The Pro's at Quality Wood Flooring, lived up to their name "Quality". They were able to start the project right away, on my schedule. I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. I was a little apprehensive if my very badly stained and scratched floors were going to turn out OK, but "Wow" they turned out fantastic!! On day one they went right to work, it was nice for a change to see Pro's at work knowing exactly what to do. Mark the owner kept in contact with me throughout the process and answered several of my question as they came up, he was very friendly and professional, by day three the Pro's finished on time and really did a great job on my floors I mean they look brand new, I am very pleased and would defiantly recommend them to work on the homes of any of my family and friends.

Nick did a great job with communication before and after and most importantly with the actual flooring itself. He worked around our schedule to make sure that the disturbance to the family was as short as possible. His ability to seemlessly match the new wood with what was already here (and undamaged) was better than I expected - you can't see a seam, etc. between what he installed and the original floor.

Nick did an excellent job installing the wood in the hall and refinishing the kitchen. He was not satisfied with the match of the two woods, however, so he came back, stripped the wood in the hall, and completely redid it until it was a satisfactory match. He did above and beyond what we had expected.

Mark was very fair and honest about the job in advance, and then when we were mid-way, after sanding, we learned that the wood in the floors was different than expected. He met with us again to re-group and figure out if we needed to change our plan for staining and finishing, and he was totally agreeable. We were also worried mid-way because we had never done floors without polyurethane. Mark was totally and completely right! The floors look great with a water based finish, the odor was less offensive and for less time, and the final appearance is beautiful. In all, he was flexible and accommodating to our needs.

Turned out ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Matched the old and new wood perfectly. After they installed the wood they sanded, stripped, stained, and sealed the wood with 3 coats of polyurethane. Turned out stunning! I would use them again in a heart beat.

Mark shared his knowledge & expertise on several occasions through this process, starting with recommendation to replace the floors in lieu of re-finishing (due to not being original and the state of the current floor). His bid detailed the work, related cost and timeframe and met each. He and his crew were very flexible as we had electricians, painters & plaster work going on in parallel. The end result is the floors are now structurally sound and absolutely beautiful.

The work was done in a timely and professional manner. Mark and his crew were great. They were prompt and courteous. The name fits the work......quality. They kept the area clean as possible (there is always the dust that floats to the walls but was minimal in the areas where the new flooring was installed). Sanding and refinishing existing flooring created a greater amount of dust, which is understandable. All in all, the floors are beautiful and I am very pleased with them. I have already passed on the company name to several people.

Mark came and visited, and his service was just as advertised. He was clear about the job, the materials, the finishes, and most importantly, about the fact that a) he did not do stairs, but that b) he worked closely with Dugans Woodworking and Mill Work, who could complete the stair work. For us, this coordination, including timing of the jobs, and use of the same wood and stain, was a huge plus and solved what had been a problem with three other companies we had sought estimates from. Mark's approach of laying flooring and then finishing in situ also allowed him to work efficiently and provide us with the lowest estimate. He uses his workers to actually accomplish the daily work on the floors, and the workers were polite, skilled and helpful; although we would say that their notion of "don't you worry, we will cover it, there is little dust, we vacuum it" was inaccurate, and we are glad we believed all our friends who said, "Cover everything, tape up cupboards, and doorways, etc." Overall we were delighted and would recommend Mark Grimm to anyone who wanted a quality job at a very good price.

I had my wood floors completely stripped and finished by a company close by, the work was sloppy and not to my satisfaction.
Mark came in, and complety fixed every issued pointed out, used a good quality product leaving the floors absolutely beautiful. He took the time to listen to my concerns and did everything he knew to get it right. His working partner was very professional too. Id definitely use his services again. His business was at least 55 miles out, but came to my home in Germantown to help me get my floor issue resolved.. Thank You

We are extremely pleased with the results. We got three bids on the work and Mark was right in the middle, price wise. It's a pleasure to work with someone like Mark who actually does what he says he's going to do. Mark's crew were punctual and professional - they were at our house everyday by 7:30 like clockwork - and got to work right away. They were very tidy and cleaned up at the end of each day. Mark was on site every day as well. Mark is very accessible - answered all our questions and kept us updated on the progress made each day. They stayed right on schedule and were done in 2 weeks. We especially appreciated Mark's attention to detail. For example, we removed carpeting on two sets of stairs and the crew actually sanded the treads by hand - obviously more time consuming, but worth the results. Over the years we have had a few unfortunate experiences with contractors which leave us questioning whether they would work like that in their own homes. This is not one of those experiences. The whole job from start to finish was stellar and we highly recommend Mark and Quality Wood Flooring!

From start to finish, Mark and his crew provided excellent workmanship, timely service, and treated my home with great respect. They always arrived on time; the project started on time and finished on time. I have friends who work in construction-related or home refinishing businesses who commented that the quality of workmanship was superb. My floors are now beautiful, gleaming showpieces and I can't thank Mark and his crew enough for their wonderful work.
