"Work was never done. Contractor was dispatched by Choice Home Warrenty. Arrived late. Charged me for 2 service calls ($130.00) instead of just one as specified by Choice Home Warrenty. Technician submitted the work orders and they were approved. Technician never called Choice oe me to schedule the work. This all began on June 8th. Calls have been made to the technician by Choice and have never been returned. As far as I'm concerned I have had $130 stolen from me by a disreputable and dishonest company. He could not provide a receipt so I took a photo of his Nondriver ID (yes he drove here). 10 days later and still no contact. I will not recommend this company. I will file a complaint with the BBB and have logged a complaint with Choice Home Warrenty as well."

Not all dishwashers are 60cm wide, but that tends to be the most common size. 60cm translates into roughly 24 inches, with most home dishwashers being between 22 and 24 inches wide. If the dishwasher is in working condition, start and run a complete cycle with nothing inside. Let it drain and sit overnight before removing the hoses. In theory, it should effectively drain. You may find residual water in the hoses, but you can plug them. If the dishwasher breaks down midcycle it can sometimes be full of water. You’ll need to manually remove the water with a plastic cup before removing the dishwasher.

You can repair minor damage to a dishwasher drain hose with tape designed to handle moisture but it’s probably better to simply replace it. Dishwasher hoses are inexpensive items that, although they require some muscle to change, are best swapped out. You don’t want to find your kitchen has flooded because of a faulty part that usually costs between $10 and $30.

The most common reason for a smelly dishwasher is a dirty dishwasher filter. The filter is responsible for catching food while your machine is running to prevent clogs. Over time, that filter gets more and more filled with food particles. Cleaning your dishwasher filter monthly can keep the smell at bay.

Installing a dishwasher should take one to four hours, depending on the complexity of the installation and whether you DIY or hire a pro. Even if you're particularly handy, installing a dishwasher on your own will likely take longer — at least two hours. On the other hand, a professional can likely install a dishwasher in about an hour. Installation time will take longer if you have to remove an existing dishwasher, reroute plumbing, or repair damaged flooring underneath the appliance.
