"I called A-1 Superior Plumbing and they answered the call. They were able to accommodate my schedule and were out the following day and replaced the ejector pump. My dealings with this company were positive. Joe, who came to my home to do the job, was professional and efficient and I would definitely use them again."

"I had an excellent experience with Goodfellas Sewer and Drain. They recently helped me with a complex kitchen sink issue, taking apart the drain piping and garbage disposal to rod and clear the drain. They worked efficiently and left everything clean and properly reassembled. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident from start to finish. I’ll definitely be calling them again for any plumbing needs and highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable, thorough service!"

"12-18-24. Great service work by Dave and Mike (?). Friendly professional guys. Knowledgeable of repairs needed. Installed new faucet in main bathroom; power-rodded slow water drain in bathtub; replaced pvc P-trap and angle stops piping underneath bathroom sink that was corroded and leaking. Neat and tidy cleanup afterwards. Average pricing. Great job! Will use this service company again."

"The tenants in my condo emailed me Sunday night on July 4th weekend to say that both sides of the kitchen sink had filled with black gunk after they tried to use the garbage disposal. The water / black gunk was stagnant in the sink, and the disposal didn't seem to be working.
I called multiple plumbers and most were booked up for 2-3 days because it was right after a holiday weekend. In that round of calls, I had left a message for Charlie, and he called back within the hour. He said he was booked all day but would see if he could get to the condo at the end of the day or first thing the following day.
He also happened to mention that he worked until 6 pm.  When my tenants contacted me at about 6:30 pm to say they hadn't heard from Charlie, I guessed that some jobs had run over and the day got hectic and he just couldn't get to our job. But then 5 minutes later, he actually called to say he on his way. I was impressed by that because he went out of his way to help us and worked at least two hours longer than he had planned to. That's good customer service -- and the sign of someone with a strong work ethic.
Within an hour or two, he had the sink unclogged and restored to normal -- no need to replace the garbage disposal or anything else. He called me when it was all done to explain everything, and he offered to email me an invoice. I didn't have to provide a credit card over the phone, which would have been fine but an invoice is nice, too, because I can pay it with my other bills. He even called after he send the invoice to make sure I received it.
Overall, I was impressed by his work ethic and his overall attitude. He was professional on the phone but very nice and cordial. I had called another plumbing company, and they were polite and professional but came off as a little too corporate -- almost a little cold. Charlie was the complete opposite."

"Friendly professional service. We needed to replace the shut off valve in our bathroom. Asked if he would have time to fix the sink drain and that was done as well."

"I needed a new water heater and Ed jr was able to find one. He came 24 hrs later to install it. We probably paid a little bit more due to turnaround time but are just happy to get it fixed. They did a good job -clean, etc. I also had a shower faucet problem/a leaky faucet. I showed him, and he said it was too late on a Friday to fix it but to call him on Monday to set up a time. That was 2 plus weeks ago. I guess repeat customers are not important if the job is small. Disappointed in Ed jr as I thought he was a good guy."

"The upstairs neighbor’s tub had a leak, which destroyed our bathroom ceiling. Matt coordinated with the upstairs neighbor, took care of his tub and our ceiling flawlessly. Matt also diagnosed an issue with the kitchen sink assembly and repaired it. He took care of all these issues at the same time, in one day. He cleaned up after himself and was delightful to deal with throughout the whole process."

"I called Patrick Thursday to let him know we needed a plumber. I told him ideally I would like someone to come tomorrow morning. He found a way to move the schedule around and accommodated. He and the guy with him trace the water lake and check the water pressure from all the toilets and sinks in all three units of our building. He only charged us his $85 trip charge."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Most of the time, you can replace a kitchen sink without replacing the entire counter. However, if you’re replacing a large sink with a smaller sink, you’ll have to fully replace the counter because you’ll have a gap in the sink space area. But if your new sink is bigger than your old sink, your pro can simply cut into your counter to open up space for it.

You’ll need a backsplash behind your pedestal sink in your bathroom. Because pedestal sinks mount directly to the wall and usually have smaller basins with narrow rims, it’s easier to splash and get water on the wall or floor. You’re better off having a backsplash while brushing your teeth or washing your hands.

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

Install the sink between 30 inches and 34 inches away from the floor. However, this height could be adjusted accordingly for particularly tall or short residents. To accommodate wheelchair users, the vanity should leave a space underneath that is at least 29 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 25 inches deep.

If your kitchen is flooding, first turn off the water supply and electricity before entering the room. Next, focus on immediate flood control by cleaning up any standing water with a sump pump or wet-dry vacuum to prevent long-term water damage to your home. Open your windows and run any dehumidifiers you have handy. Finally, call a professional plumber to help find the source of the flood and repair it.
