Emergency services offered

"Our condo building decided to have Bella Custom Cleaning out to clean our air duct vents today. The two young gentlemen who came to do our clean were respectful of my property and extremely professional. I wish I would have gotten their names, they were great!! We had a few quotes and this company had competitive pricing and great reviews, so we decided to go for it. Very happy we did, we will be using Bella Custom Cleaning again! Pricing shown is for one unit, approx. 1,000 sq ft., 12 vents."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Before hiring a cleaning service for your home, it's wise to ask several questions. Find out what services they offer, whether they work alone or with a company, and if they can provide references. It's also important to ask if they conduct background checks on employees. Inquire about their scheduling, availability, and when they can provide an estimate. Confirm if they have insurance, offer a guarantee, and bring their own cleaning supplies and equipment. You should also clarify if you need to be home during the cleaning, what arrangements are necessary for pets, and if there is a written contract. Finally, ask how they set their rates and if they are available for emergencies and what those charges would be.

Bleach isn’t the best choice to use while cleaning a refrigerator. Food absorbs odors, and bleach is known for its lingering smell, which can then lead to your fresh foods tasting off. Most people don’t safely dilute bleach, either. If you’re concerned about bacteria or mold from contaminated food, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends using a bleach solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach to 1 gallon of water for sanitizing. Be sure to let the fridge air out for an hour or more afterward to let the fumes dissipate.

Pros offer comprehensive cleaning that addresses areas you might overlook, ensuring an immaculate home.

You can clean the glass on the oven door while the door remains attached to the appliance, but it’s a more awkward process than cleaning the glass after removing the door. If you choose to clean the door while leaving it attached, be careful not to lean on it with your body weight, or you could damage the hinges.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.
