"After taking over 5 feet of water in an out building Todd came and gave us a solution to the water problem after many companies said there was no solution without pumping. He and his team of workers have done an amazing job. They trenched our entire property from 2 feet to over 8 feet deep. Very professional and hard working guys. The crews were very respectful of our yard when working with their equipment and always cleaned up the drive of dirt or rocks. Todd came often to check in on his crews and the overall project. He answered cell phone calls promptly and replied to emails in a timely manner along with sending the estimates and quotes for our jobs. After trenching the yard, they came back and did rock landscaping around our house. They did a great job of laying fabric around my plants and flowers and were so careful when dumping the river rocks. We will have them back when we have more landscaping projects in the future. Todd's should patent his saying "we dont have problems, we have solutions". We would recommend him and his company for any job."

"Difficult installation of a 110 V. service to fireplace insert. Worked diligently until job was completed safely. He did have to take calls during the work and had some cell phone problems which can happen to all of us."

Exterior Lighting questions, answered by experts

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

Although security lighting may not deter a determined burglar, its presence will make your property that much less enticing to would-be trespassers. When paired with other types of home security systems like alarms and surveillance cameras, strong lights will better help you and the authorities identify thieves in the instance they attempt to break in or succeed at doing so.

To maintain your outdoor lighting and prevent major issues, you should regularly clean the fixtures, inspect the wiring and connections, and replace worn or burnt-out bulbs promptly. These simple steps ensure consistent operation and extend the life of your lighting system.

Costs depend on system type, issue severity, and labor rates.
