hello i am john and i am the owner of the company i want to tell you that am the guy that does the work , so no subcontracting ( i am not going to take your money and send some one else in to your home to do the work). Short version , i will treat your house like i would treat my own , that will include in some situations i will advise you to go with a different suggestion than the one you have in mind , if that will improve the quality of the project. From my experience every option needs to be explained to the customer in detail , in order to reach the best possible outcome that will accommodate your budget and the structural design of the project . Some times because of the nature of existing structure in the house ( like sub floor material , room size , light intensity etc , or if is an apt were the condominium association has their own set of rules in regards with what kind of work can be done in the unit ) we may have to work a lot with the customers in order to find the perfect solution that will bring the desired look . So communication and trust are needed to achieve the end goal..

"We initially had Ioan (John) refinish hardwood floors in our 1960's ranch. He was creative in finding a solution for a transition between the wood floor and tile floor. Fast-forward 6 years, and our "scary" basement stairs demanded a re-do. They were covered in ceramic tile, cracked often, and were narrow, dangerous and slippery. I called Ioan on a Tuesday, he inspected the stairs on Thursday, and by Monday, demolition began. He worked diligently for 2.5 days, and the finished product is beautiful! Ioan was even able to give us a wider tread for safety. We should have done the stairs 6 years ago, when he first suggested it! Ioan is skilled, professional, and mindful of the mess. There was very little for me to clean-up once the job was done. Highly recommend his craftsmanship!!"

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because steam can lift even the most stubborn dirt from your floors without using chemicals. Steam can also kill bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops are more expensive than traditional mops and require an electrical outlet to function, so they might not be ideal for everyone.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Steam mopping might be better than regular mopping if you don’t use the right cleaning products or properly rinse or wring out the mop head. However, if you use the right techniques, regular mopping also sanitizes effectively—even if it takes more effort. Plus, you know you can use a regular mop on any flooring—including to clean laminate floors or hardwood, which don’t do well with steam cleaning.

Using too much soap or floor cleaner can leave your laminate floors looking dirty or cloudy after mopping. Only use a teaspoon of soap or cleaning solution in a gallon of water. Additionally, always be sure to sweep or vacuum laminate floors before mopping to ensure you pick up dried grit, hair, and dust that can be harder to catch with a wet mop.
