"We had our chimney tuck pointed and a roof put on the house. The old roof wasn’t torn down this it wasn’t in real bad shape and there was only one layer on. The work was all done in one day and everything was cleaned up when they left."

"They were really busy and I wondered when they were going to do the project. The bushes they planted were healthy and in bloom, and they were careful to avoid digging near underground cables. The supervisor was factual and answered all my questions."

"We just secured Midtown as our decking provider! So impressed with Midtown and the people of this great company. Firstly, I was most impressed at the Tinley Park Show with Luke. He was easy to talk to and honestly, was my favorite contact at the show. He was sharing about Midtown, what they do and about PVC decking that I was not familiar with. I set up an appointment to have Midtown come to our home. Today, met with Peter and Leah and just excellence in hearing about Midtown and owners beliefs, the product, the process and answered all our questions and provided great solutions. We just enjoyed our time chatting with them. Most of all, we are excited about having Midtown create a beautiful deck for us! They are going to tear down our existing deck that is falling apart and replace it with PVC decking. Surprised at the amazing quality decking, excellent workmanship and how it will look! Midtown cares about creating a relationship with their customers and just a gem!"

"I had a small job and trouble finding professional help for my small job replacing the shingles on the roof of my wood garden shed -- 12x6 size. Once I removed the tools inside to prepare for their work, I realized I also needed the floor replaced. They completed both jobs within a few hours; they cleaned up afterwards, I am now prepared for keeping my lawnmower and other tools dry and ready for next season. They were a pleasure to work with. Their price was fair."

"Excellent experience. Frank and Tim were extremely professional and friendly. I had a chair lift, stairway rails and shower grab bars installed. Excellent work. Small jobs welcome

"A scheduling miscommunication resulting in my having to wait an hour and a half for handyman's arrival. He fixed the non-working blinds quickly - within 10 minutes. I was told the charge would be around $118. The handyman said he could only reduce the price to $90. When I received the email invoice for $90, I asked for an additional reduction. They reduce the bill to $45, which seemed fair."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Fascia and soffits differ in their location and design, but fascia vents are the most popular alternative to soffits. These are a bit more hidden than soffits, but depending on the structure of your roof, they can cost more to install and maintain. They are also installed around the entire roof, whereas soffits can be placed only where you need them or, if the aesthetics bother you, somewhere out of sight.

For many people, a gazebo is worth it, but it’s a matter of personal preference. If you love spending time outside but your yard doesn’t offer much protection from the sun or rain, then adding a gazebo might be worthwhile. Or, if you enjoy hosting dinner parties and want a nice outdoor space to gather with your friends, a gazebo could be a good investment.

The main purpose of a gazebo is to provide a covered space for people to gather comfortably. They’re an excellent place for summertime get-togethers because the roof protects you and your guests from the sun. However, gazebos can also serve as a design feature, adding a bit of charm to a backyard or garden.

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.
