Foundation Recovery Systems is a recognized accredited member of the Better Business Bureau and devotes its years of experience, industry knowledge and specialized training to help customers protect their homes or commercial buildings from water damage, concrete sinking, and foundation failure.

"As far as we can tell, the work was effective at stabilizing our foundation, and the on-site crew led by Luke was great, informing us of their progress along the way. However, we expressed in advance our concern about protecting some of our landscaping. We were assured the crew would have boards to cover landscaping on which removed dirt would be piled. This turned out not to be the case. I’ve had quite a bit of expense and labor to restore landscaping that was damaged during the work. This damage could have been avoided. Foundation Recovery sends out $500 coupons to advertise for their work. My attempts to contact Joe and FRS to honor even a part of the $500 coupon to help defray my landscaping costs have gone unanswered. Our salesperson, Joe, was not present during the work and has not been responsive to our followup inquiries. We are very disappointed in the poor customer service from Foundation and its representatives. I cannot recommend this company based on their failure to address our up-front concerns, lack of response to our followup requests, and the false advertising that is associated with the coupons."

The people at the front desk are the worst customer service people I have ever encountered, and they lie as well. We bought an above ground pool for Bwet/Bdry and we had to replace the whole thing out of our pocket except the shell because of the lies of Bwet and Doughboy pools. Avoid!! Go anywhere else."

While painting can certainly change the look of a chimney, you should think twice about giving your brick chimney the old landlord special.

Painting brick is porous, meaning it’s full of tiny holes that can soak up moisture. Those holes also allow it to dry, though. So, when you paint it, you trap any moisture inside, providing an opportunity for mold, mildew, and water damage.

Paint also shows wear faster than naked brick. This means that once you paint a brick surface, you’ll have to keep painting it to maintain a clean look. You should use cement for a chimney crown. The purpose of the chimney crown is to protect the mortar below from water damage and the effects of weather. Mortar, or masonry mortar, is mainly used in joints and as parging for stone, brick, or cement construction. Stucco is primarily a surface material used as wall coverings. For maintenance, masonry will need repointing or replacing as damage or land shifting occurs, whereas stucco will need patching or refinishing as it tends to crack over time along with other types of wear-and-tear.

For most masonry cleaning jobs, you should use a masonry sponge and a gentle cleaner like dish soap, vinegar, or a dedicated fireplace or masonry cleaner. Harsher bleach-based or ammonia cleaning agents should only be used if necessary and never mixed together.

Landscape boulders, especially porous stones like sandstone or granite, can crack or break over time. Cracks occur when water seeps into the surface of the stone and freezes. The risk is highest when it rains during the day and temperatures freeze overnight since the moisture has time to penetrate deeper into the rock before expanding.
