The technician was on time, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly they also swapped out my nest thermostat for an ecobee and got it set up. "This was the second time now our 12 year old ac in our home has quit on us with the same problem. Not only did this guy fix the problem but he ALSO fixed the issue that was causing it to happen in the first place. That's something the last service did not catch! The final bill was less than what the last business charged me. Who by the way did less work! Got to say I didn't see that coming but sure welcomed it. Service was professional, complete and done in a very timely manner. Cost was very fair! Home ac works great again. Highly recommended by us."

"Got my ductwork cleaned out and replace 23 outlet covers. All done in record time. Very friendly and professional and explained the whole process as he went and showed me all the junk that came out of my ducts. Cleaned up as he went along and couldn't even tell he had been here except that there's no dust floating around in the air now."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To reduce AC startup power for a whole-house generator, install a soft start kit or hard start capacitor, which lowers the initial surge by gradually ramping up the compressor. Using a smart load manager can also help by staggering startup loads, preventing a system overload and future costly repairs.

Yes, you should turn off your AC if it’s leaking. Turning off the system prevents more condensation from leaking and reduces strain on the unit if a damaged internal component or lack of refrigerant is the cause. While this may temporarily stop the leak, water can continue to drip from a thawing coil even after the system is off. As soon as you notice a leak, turn off the unit and investigate the source or call a professional for an inspection.

The difference between a home surge protector and an HVAC surge protector is that an HVAC surge protector is designed to protect the components inside your HVAC unit while a home surge protector is installed near appliances and meant to protect your entire home. There are three tiers of whole-house surge protectors, and they are more expensive to install than HVAC surge protectors.

The time it takes for an air conditioner to dry fully after cleaning depends on the unit's size and humidity levels. Most units will dry within two to four hours after cleaning, but check the manufacturer's recommendations for drying times. Make sure to leave the unit off until it's completely dry.

They can, but it’s not as common. Window AC units are much smaller than whole-house systems and less likely to develop refrigerant leaks or similar issues. As a result, you will rarely need to add a new refrigerant, limiting overcharging problems. However, it’s still important to leave refrigerant management in the hands of professionals when window units need work.
