Customers say: True professional

"MNM did an excellent job hanging wallpaper in our nursery. The wallpaper looks terrific and there were some difficult parts to the job. MNM was easy to deal with at a reasonable price and handled everything very well. I would hire them again."

"Lloyd is a true professional! We needed one room painted quickly. Thankfully he had a cancellation and was able to accommodate us. We wanted the ceiling, walls, one accent wall, and trim painted. Lloyd finished in one day, and the room looks like it is out of a magazine or makeover show! We couldn t be happier! We have him scheduled to paint the other bedrooms!"

"After a "simple" bathroom repainting turned into a nightmare of peeling paint from permanent wallpaper, with damaged drywall as a result, David provided me with options for repairing the walls with a new, cost-conscious finish and then painted the room for me as well. He was extremely punctual and responsive, professional and anxious to provide excellent customer service. He was accurate in how much time the job would take, and his price guarantee made sure that no hidden costs popped up at the last minute. He did a great job, and saved us A LOT of frustration and stress."

"Let me start by saying that I rated Nick's "Responsiveness" a "B", simply because we were originally on his schedule for November of 2107, but did not actually get work done until February, due to his very packed schedule. He took our deposit in November, to get us into his schedule, but due to unforeseen circumstances with other projects (and the Holidays), we could not coordinate ourselves until February. During that time, he was very good at communicating with us, and was very easy to get in touch with via email and/or text. In terms of the work, the tub/shower had already been reglazed/tiled, as had the tiles in the bathroom. Nick did everything else! He removed wallpaper from 1968, and subsequently re-dry walled much of the bathroom! He installed new laminate flooring, a new (and GIGANTIC, heavy) marble topped double vanity, which he had to move plumbing for. He also painted , put in new lighting, a new ceiling fan (with bluetooth), and hung two mirrors. He installed a new folding closet door, and painted the existing (brown) pocket door. All trim was painted white. He was wonderful to work with, and had the job done well in just 5 business days. We are very satisfied, and love knowing that should an issue arise with anything Nick did, he is just a text away, and will be happy to help. (I will do my best to upload photos later, as right now, I am failing in my attempts.) We will most certainly be working with him on our next bathroom project..."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Having dated, peeling, or otherwise damaged wallpaper can decrease the value of your property, so removing that before listing your house is nearly always a good idea; however, since wallpaper tends to be a personal style choice, potential buyers may or may not love your aesthetic as much as you do.

Love the look of wallpaper but want to consider property value as well? Stick with something that is easy to change. If you are thinking of selling soon, make sure your wallpaper hanging is on-point and looks professional with no crooked seams, evenly matched patterns, and minimal bubbling or other imperfections.

You should be aware of the current wallpaper and interior trends before hanging it, especially if you are planning on selling or listing your home soon. Do people in your market tend to prefer bold designs and accent walls, or does having a simpler print all over seem like a better idea? Lastly, you want something that appeals to your aesthetic preferences; hanging wallpaper is an investment of your time and money after all.

Many types of wallpaper exist, from removable peel-and-stick options to more permanent options that involve pasting. You can also find wallpaper that you can paint over, wallpaper with a texture, and wallpaper made from various materials, such as vinyl. Some types of wallpaper are washable, which can be a great option for kitchens or if your household has small children.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

Yes, many installation and painting services include wall preparation, such as patching holes, smoothing surfaces, sanding, and priming. It is recommended to confirm the specific preparations included with your provider.
