"Larry was a wonderful person to work with. He did an absolutely great job in helping us get our house ready to put on the market. He is very knowledgeable and a pretty good teacher too, as he taught me to do a lot of the things he was doing. He knew exactly what needed to be done and did it to our complete satisfaction. After he left, I installed bifold doors in a room that he could not do as we needed to get carpet first. I texted him a picture when I completed it and thanked him for teaching me. He responded with â Iâ m proud of you!â I have already given his name and number to 2 people, one of which was our realtor whom is always in need of names of trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking handymen. I would recommend him to anyone, without hesitation, and will definitely call him again if needed. I would give him 6 stars on a five star scale."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can mount a TV on plaster walls—as long as you attach it to the studs. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts, molly bolts, or another type of hardware that’s strong enough to support a TV.

If you aren’t comfortable with this type of project, you can hire a pro. The cost of mounting a TV to a plaster wall ranges from $25 to $600 (or more), depending on the TV’s weight, size, and other factors.

Yes, you can mount a TV on a brick wall as a DIY project. This process requires specific tools, such as a masonry drill and masonry bits, as a regular power drill is not sufficient for drilling into dense surfaces like brick. You will need to drill mounting holes directly into the bricks, not the mortar, to ensure there is enough support for the weight of the TV and its bracket. After drilling, use large plastic wall anchors or concrete screws to securely attach the TV mount.

The cost to have a TV professionally mounted typically ranges from $160 to $360, with a national average of about $260. This price is for labor and does not include the TV mount itself. Several factors can affect the final cost, including the size of the TV and the type of mount used; for example, a fireplace mount costs more than an under-cabinet one. If you want to hide the wires within the wall, the price can increase significantly, potentially to $1,000 or more. For an accurate estimate, it is best to contact a local TV mounting service.

The VESA mounting standard refers to the layout of the mounting holes on the back of all televisions that follow the standard. These holes appear in the same place on all TVs of a certain size. This allows the mounting bracket and hardware manufacturers to build the brackets to fit the VESA standard. Ideally, if everyone follows the VESA standard, any brand of TV should fit any brand of mounting bracket, as long as the sizes match up correctly.

If you want to enjoy your favorite movies from the comfort of your backyard or patio, you can mount a TV outside. You’ll want to be thoughtful about its location, ensuring it’s away from water and heat, like a grill or pool. Placing it under a roof, awning, or gazebo is usually a good idea as well for extra protection. Outdoor wiring does add an extra layer of complications with this project, so it may be worth it to hire an electrician to help.
