"The owner, Alex, is personable, and professional. He and his assistant came at the appointed time and day, and made the repairs needed. The cost was reasonable, and I'm very happy with my good as new, handsome railing, and the safety it affords us. Thank you Alex."

"Willie was more than the professional we needed. As General Contractor's we often use these services to repair our wrought iron fences. Also, this contractor offers fabrication for metal and fence installation. We're continuing our relationship of services with this contractor for our properties large and small. Thanks Willie."

"Dave's work was excellent and he was very dependable and professional. All 8 posts on the exterior wrought iron railings of our front stoop were badly rusted. Dave did a beautiful job of removing both railings from the steps, cutting out the rusted posts, welding in new posts, and re-cementing the fixed railings back into the concrete steps. The railings look perfect. The price was very reasonable."

"I had my fence built by somone that was not a professional and did a bad job, so it had a lot of problems where the door was dragging on the floor, bad welding, bending, rust, etc. They reached out to me within 2 minutes of posting an ad. Arrived within an hour and a half to provide an estimate. Once we came to an agreement, he got started a couple of hours later. All the work was done later that day and the fence looks great. Excellent service, very professional, highly recommended!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Professional metal fabricators typically charge around $70 per hour, but the total cost of your project will depend on several factors. The largest cost drivers are the size, complexity, and design of the project, as well as the price and type of metal used. A good way to estimate the total cost is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four; typically, one-quarter of the total goes toward materials and three-quarters toward labor. Your geographic location can also influence costs, as labor and material prices vary by region.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.
