"Mike was able to fix my faucet so I did not have to buy a new one, rodded out my sinks and corrected mistakes on installation of disposal. He was friendly and professional. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him."

"Tim was amazing and very helpful. He was quick to respond and amazingly enough was able to get out to my project very quickly. If you are thinking about anything plumbing wise I would definitely recommend Tim and Drains Inc. I had two other companies come out and give me quotes but honestly they were not even close to the friendliness and the price that the other guys were suggesting. We will be using Tim again for sure in our future plumbing repairs, so do yourself a favor and just call Drains Inc."

"Ryan and his coworker were very professional and worked very efficiently. Answered all my questions and even took care of a leaky pipe and hooked up my icemaker on my fridge in addition to installing two new faucets. It only took them an hour. When the time came for me to pay the bill I was very pleasantly surprised. I would hire Collins Sanitary again w/o hesitation and would highly recommend them."

"My new shower is beautiful! Walter and his team were great. Walter said the job would take a day and a half. I was signing off on it by 11am on the second day. I told them I would be painting and replacing sink, mirror and floor so they removed these items for me. They also left trim and caulk for when I finish everything. Thank you Walter!"

"Jason arrived on time the next morning to diagnose my problem. The kitchen faucet needed replacement. He returned with his son to quickly installed the new faucet (pictured). We had tight frame of time to work with as we had a Dr. appointment to get to in the early afternoon. We made it to our appointment on time & received good news. They helped turn around a stressful situation, and provided some education about valve shut offs under the sink. Thank you!"

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

Depending on the issue and materials, costs range from $150 to $500.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

The best place for a kitchen sink drain is the middle of the sink. Most people prefer center drains because they allow for better water and waste drainage, and the center location limits splashing because water flows straight down the drain hole. If the sink drain is too close to the edge of the sink, water can collect and drain too slowly. It can also be easier to clean sinks when the drain is closer to the center since debris is easier to wash down and doesn’t collect along the sides as easily.

The time it takes to install a sink depends on whether you hire a professional or do it yourself, as well as the complexity of the job. A professional plumber can typically install a sink in 1 to 4 hours, with most routine jobs taking around 1 to 2 hours. However, more complicated installations will take longer. Projects that involve rerouting plumbing, installing an under-mount sink, or making countertop modifications can take a full day. Installing a sink with a prefab vanity could also stretch the project to 6 to 8 hours. If you plan to install the sink yourself, you should set aside 4 to 6 hours, though it could take longer. It's also recommended to have a friend help, especially if you are working with a heavy sink made of a material like porcelain.
