"It was okay. I didn't see the people. They came, did their work and left. I wanted aerating and over-seeding. I don't know if they had gotten a big response for their advertised price but I felt they came out kind of late and they didn't leave much time for grass to grow in the fall. Actually, I was a little disappointed in how long for them to come out. It was actually later towards the end of October before they actually got here, maybe the second week of October. They were good. There wasn't any additional cost. The price was really good that's why I scheduled the service with them."

"We recently hired this tree company to handle a few things around our business, and I couldn?t be more pleased with the results. They mowed our lawn, trimmed back some overgrown bushes, and most notably, removed a large tree that had been blocking the front of our bar. The difference is incredible it?s like a whole new space! The front of the bar is now much more visible, giving it a brighter, more welcoming feel. The team was professional and efficient, completing everything in a timely manner. They cleaned up afterward, leaving the place looking great. Overall, I?m impressed with the quality of their work and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing similar services"

"The work was exceptional and really did a great job. I've known them for the past 3 years. They showed up on time, went above and beyond my expectations, very professional, courteous, and polite. They know what exactly needs to be done, and explained everything throughout the whole process, the rates are very reasonable and competitive, and I highly recommend them to anyone,"

FAQs for arboricultural service projects in Highland, IL

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:

  • Location

  • Yard size

  • Project size

  • Materials

  • Land preparation

  • Type of landscaping

Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
