"Wonderful job replacing main panel, installing a ground wire per code, and an outside meter housing. Excellent communications and they always arrived on time and stayed until that part of the project was completed. We would highly recommend them and we will gladly use them again for any electrical project."

"Gentleman who owns Solarize was professional and courteous. He communicated well with the manufacturer and convinced them that a replacement inverter was needed based on the data he saw and the manufacturer had seen. It's what we were hoping for."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

""I had a new electric furnace installed, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The Installation team was professional, knowledgeable, and completed the job efficiently. They took the time to explain how the system works, answered all of my questions, and ensured everything was operating properly before leaving. The customer service was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff was friendly, responsive, and kept me informed throughout the entire process. They made scheduling easy and treated my home with care and respect. The new furnace works great, answered I can already tell the difference in the comfort of my home. I highly recommend this company for anyone needing an electric furnace installation. Their quality workmanship and outstanding customer service exceeded my expectations.""

"1 word. Professionalism. These guys came out and rolled out the red carpet literally .. they laid down protection for my floors, and my walls. My contractor refused to bring in the appliances because he said there was no way anyone would get the refrigerator in without causing damages.. these guys simply said challenge accepted. Not a scratch on my floor or bump against myth walls or doors. Everything was installed and leveled to perfection, everything was tested before they left. I would recommend them to anyone, and I tell my friends and family to only use them. Thank you guys for all your help."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If you’re someone who likes to tinker around the house and make DIY repairs, a multimeter or voltmeter can be a great tool to have around, especially if you’re comfortable with electrical repairs. That said, if working with electricity feels out of your depth, you don’t need to invest in a multimeter. Reach out to an electrical pro for any electrical work you need done if any part of you is hesitant about a project.

You can distinguish the amplitude and voltage of most outlets by looking at the shape and positioning of the holes. Other features like buttons, switches, and USB ports help identify electric outlets, too. Use labeled images, like the ones we’ve included above, to cross-reference with your outlets.

Typically, refrigerators should not be plugged into GFCI outlets. This is another appliance with a motor that can be prone to a little current leakage. Using a standard outlet saves nuisance tripping and the potential of waking up to a refrigerator full of warm food. The only exception is when the refrigerator is in a garage, where all outlets must be GFCI.

Flickering lights, warm outlets, or tripped circuits needing immediate attention mean systems likely risk hazard scare.

You should never unplug or touch a buzzing outlet. If there are appliances plugged in that are causing the buzzing, wait until the appliance is turned off (or turn it off yourself) and then unplug it from the outlet. Test the outlet by plugging in something that won’t use much power—a small lamp works well. If the outlet still buzzes, have a pro investigate why.
