"Ray. Is without a doubt the most friendly, understanding, intelligent electrician l ever met. He made me feel so confident. I hire him on the spot for my electrical project. Not only he installed a 9 panel heated driveway. But also a Generac, stair lighting, indoor outdoor cam lighting, light poles, chandeliers, disposals, under cabinet lighting, outlets, switches, led mirrors, garage heater, lighting, sensors, photo eyes and a 9 camera system. Most professional work l ever seen. Ray is my only electrician for everything."

"Would be tough to find another company that works so hard with great pricing and top notch work. They installed a paver patio with a tv wall with a fire pit and sitting wall. They also added in a walkway with landscaping and sodded the rest of the yard. Their work is phenomenal! I can’t say enough about the crew but they put their all into your project to make sure you’re very happy!"

"Need to have a bunch of electrical work done in an unfinished basement. Ran new wiring, outlets, canned lighting through out the basement. Very happy with the work, and they were very helpful in making recommendations to meet my needs."

"Overall, we had a very positive experience with APS Pools & Spas. Doug and Keith did a good job keeping us apprised on everything during the project. They were very accommodating when we made modifications to the original plans. Doug was great with the design and a pleasure to work with. Oscar's crew were hard working, respectful and so nice to our dog. They always cleaned up their mess at the end of the day and were very pleasant to interact with. The team was super helpful with getting the pool up and running, then assisting with the care and general upkeep. Everyone comments on the beautiful tile, lighting, and overall design. It is better then we ever imagined. The APS Team did a great job in making our pool dreams a reality."

"Lori has been a godsend. I’d been putting off a much-needed redesign of my large apartment living room / office space for years. I’d bought a couple of good quality, neutral items (eg, a white sectional sofa), but most of the rest of the room was a hodgepodge of found items with blank walls. I’d seen things I liked but never purchased them because I wasn’t sure about what I really wanted, and I feared I might be buying the wrong thing. Lori came in and showed me an overall vision for giving more elegance and purpose to the space, with new furniture pieces, accessories, and a gorgeous, cohesive color scheme. Now it’s neutral-beautiful and everyone who visits comments on the stunning transformation!"

"We just finished a massive 3500 sq ft project with Brick Logik. Our project consisted of a custom bar area, fire pit, drainage for our pool, seat walls, stairs, led lighting, day bed area, and landscaping. We met with several other companies to design this project. 3 of those companies gave us design plans prior to us finding Brick Logik. All of the plans were nice but nothing special or unique which is what we were looking for. When we first met Adolfo I had a list of things that I wanted our outdoor space to accomplish such as a bar area, walkway to our spa, covered area for BBQ etc. When Adolfo finished his first design he met with us at our home and showed us his 3D concept which completely blew us away. Everything that we had asked him to accomplish into our design was part of his rendering, but it was even more creative than we could have ever imagined. He even built in elevation changes in our relatively flat back yard. Our project design period took roughly a month but we could tell that Adolfo was going above and beyond to make us something special and unique. He also was patient with us because we kept changing and tweaking things. We probably had a total of 5 meetings before finalizing a design that fit within our budget and signing a contract. Not one time did he act like we were wasting his time or pressure us to sign a contract before he would make more revisions. After calling some of the references provided, all of which had glowing things to say, we decided to choose Brick Logik. Since our project was so large, we had some issues with getting our permitting approved but Adolfo and Alex stuck with us and did everything they could to help us move it along until it finally reached approval. Once we got the permit they set a start date and we were provided a calendar with a day by day agenda on what was to be done. My wife and I have hired lots of contractors before and were never given such a detailed timeline. We actually thought that the timeline seemed impossible to meet because they only factored in 5 weeks, but they were there 10 hours a day and if the weather would not permit working they would come on the weekend to make up the time. They finished the project in exactly 5 weeks. I can honestly say I have never seen a harder working crew of guys, or a crew that took such great pride in the quality of the work they do. They cleaned up after themselves every day and the project was completed without any major roadblocks or setbacks. That being said, we had a couple minor issues. For example, one stair was collecting some rain water because it was not pitched correctly. I told Adolfo about it and instead of dancing around the issue he said don't worry we will fix it. The next day there were 3 guys outside taking out the stair and changing the pitch. I wish more companies were like this. These guys legitimately care about you being satisfied with your experience and the finished product, not just trying to make a quick buck and mo"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

One possibility is that they aren’t getting enough sunlight during the day, which could be due to a lack of sunshine in your area or trees blocking the solar panel. Alternatively, if the solar panel is dirty or the batteries are dying, your solar lights might not operate at full brightness.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.

Between seasons, inspect cords for damage, replace burnt-out bulbs, and clean lighting fixtures to prevent dirt buildup. Proper storage in cool, dry conditions will extend the lights' lifespan and minimize repairs or replacements when redeployed.

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.

The lifespan of a pool light depends on the type, but thankfully, these lights are designed to last a long time before they need to be replaced. LED bulbs last the longest, about 20,000 to 30,000 hours, while incandescent bulbs last the shortest amount of time, about 1,000 to 5,000 hours. Fiber optic pool lights will last around 6,000 hours.
