Interior, exterior, residential, and commercial painting in central Illinois. We take pride in our craft and work hard to get the job done quickly without sacrificing quality. We have a team with over 25 years of painting experience ready to tackle any project you can throw our way!

"Brett and his team were fantastic! From the initial request for quote to the actual work, Brett was communicative and available. I added a few things to my bid once the crews were here and Brett took them all in stride and did his best to accommodate me - I asked a lot of him and his crew as I requested a nearly total house transformation but I am beyond thrilled with the work and the way my house has turned out! Each and every crew member has displayed incredible attention to detail and has treated my home with the utmost respect. We hired Brett because after meeting him he felt like someone with integrity that we could trust in our home - I'm so pleased to say that I was right and even got a lot of confirmation of his character from his crew raving about him! I would spend every penny again to work with Brett!"

I specialize in all painting aspects. Interior, exterior, decks, and metals. I worked power plants to sheds, no job to big or small. I have scaffolding and all tools to do most jobs. I also do wood repair, drywall, floors, and insulation.

My teacher told me I was an apprentice about 2 years ago, however I had already known how to paint and cut fantastic. Knew things come easy to me, for example welding, that is combined with the best instructor is why I know how to do so much more than painting and welding. I can diagnose or replace water heaters and furnaces. If the water heater tank doesn't leak, it can be fixed. I can remodel bathrooms with ease. Even relocating everything in the bathroom or making entire second bathrooms. I love siding. Still need practice on kitchens. I can do new trim baseboards, casing, crown molding, and quarter round. Can repair drywall. I can fix or build stairs, along with fence repair or installation. Of course always ready to do, mowing, raking, and landscaping. Feel free to message me for any of the tasks listed maybe even more. I would say its all the same to me but I really enjoy painting and replacing furnaces, but am not picky. All good work for good pay is good work for good pay to me.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Apply a wood stain or sealant to properly maintain a wood deck railing and keep it looking new. Sealants protect wood from moisture and weathering. Regularly inspect the railing for loose screws, damaged balusters, and other signs of wear to make timely repairs. Routinely clean the railing using mild soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.

It’s best to use an exterior latex acrylic paint to promote maximum adhesion to composite decking. This flexible paint type can better cope with the natural expansion and contraction that can occur with composite deck boards. Oil-based paints won’t adhere as effectively and are more likely to crack and peel as the boards flex. Testing whether your chosen paint will stick on an inconspicuous section or a spare board is a good idea.

You’ll need to wait until the surface is completely dry, which can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours under optimal conditions. The waiting period depends on several factors, including the type of siding and the weather conditions. Trying to paint before the surface is completely dry can trap moisture under the paint, leading to bubbling, blistering, and mold growth.

If you don’t clean your deck before staining, dirt and debris can get stuck to the surface—which isn’t a good look. Plus, the stain won’t penetrate the wood properly and won’t do such a good job of protecting the deck from bad weather and UV rays. Basically, the stain won’t last as long or look as good.

You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.
