When I called and had a question about something, he immediately set up another time he could get his team out, and he personally visited as well. Allstar is aweseome! "HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Did much research on companies 1st b/c I was aware of scams with duct cleaning. But this company is very legitimate professional - techs and receptionist, all the way around! Top quality service! On time and will answer any questions and explain it all in great detail? very polite and professional. And yes, they will take photos throughout if you want to see exactly the differences of before and after. I had bought a 1959 home which had never been cleaned. See my before/after photos. Before, I kept having to wipe off my counter tops a few times a day because they always felt gritty. After the duct cleaning, they stay clean now - A HUGE DIFFERENCE! The guys were awesome and went above and beyond by also helping me carry a heavy appliance from upstairs to my basement. Very nice guys! They cleaned up any mess before leaving, like they had never there. You will not regret using their service. Lower Price than others too! Thanks Danny & Cameron! Great Work!"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Tile roofs, including clay, concrete, and slate, are considered low-maintenance materials that require fewer repairs and less care than many other roofing options.

  • Clay tiles require minimal maintenance. They stand up well to the elements and UV radiation, repel water, and do not easily stain, discolor, or fade in direct sunlight. Clay tiles do not need sealing. Maintenance is typically only required to replace cracked tiles, which can be caused by foot traffic, extreme weather, or fallen tree limbs.

  • Concrete tiles are also low-maintenance but require more upkeep than clay. They need to be sealed every few years to maintain water resistance, and their color tends to fade more quickly than clay.

Aside from these material-specific needs, general maintenance for tile roofs includes annual inspections, routine gutter cleaning, and addressing repairs as they arise. A well-maintained tile roof can provide 50 to 100 years or more of protection for your home.

The average cost to clean a roof is around $500, but prices can fall between $150 to $1,000 or more. The size and complexity of your roof are the most significant cost factors, as larger roofs and those with various bump-outs and gables will increase your cost. Your roof material will also make a difference. An asphalt roof will require more labor, as your professional will need to be careful not to damage the shingles. A metal roof can stand up to more intense scrubbing and shouldn’t take as long to clean.

On average, cleaning a roof will take between two to five hours. This timeline depends on the size and slope of your roof and the severity of any stains. Cleaning roof stains can take additional time, especially if there are signs of moss or algae.

In addition, the age of your roof makes an enormous difference in the time it takes to clean it, as older roofs need more gentle care. If you have significant landscaping in your yard by your house, your professional roof cleaner will need additional time to protect it from cleaning chemicals.

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

Long-handled telescopic brushes are the best way to clean the outside of a house without a pressure washer. There are even special attachments for cleaning the outside of windows. Use a gentle cleaning solution for both the roof and siding to avoid harming the finishes. Be sure to rinse the area thoroughly with a garden hose after scrubbing.
