"I know of no other contractor who has total customer satisfaction as his top priority like Mr. Flanagan does. He is absolutely the best.
My basement sustained ankle-deep water as the result of an outdoor basement stairwell drain that violently backed up because its circa-1951 drain line led to the street storm sewer (by design). That sewer was overcome with water during a storm in the summer of 2010 that featured a tornado in my western-suburbs area. Soon after pumping the water out of my basement with a mobile pump, the mess prompted me to (once again*) call Mr. Flanagan (*His crawlspace crew had done a beautiful job finishing my dirt-floor crawlspace with a concrete floor and wall insulation a couple of years earlier).
After the basement waterproofing project described in this review was complete, however, I was disappointed with the workmanship: The concrete work looked less-than-professional (out-of-flush with sump flange and the stairwell drain, plus way too many swirl marks and splattering) in the stairwell and basement's appearance areas. In short, it just didn't look like his business's flawless concrete job that was done in my crawlspace just years earlier.
Mr. Flanagan agreed. With no questions asked, he immediately had a different crew come to my home, tear out all of the previously laid concrete and drain lines and replace it with the workmanship that he would expect his crews to use in their own homes. The re-do of the project at least had met my high expectations for its cosmetics. And, of course, I hoped it was a sufficient waterproofing solution for my basement.
Fast forward just a few short years. Affter having perhaps sustaining that 100-year event with the Chicago-area rain storm of April 17-18, 2012, while my neighbors are pumping water out of their basements, mine remains bone dry. Thank you Mr. Flanagan and Crawlspace / Basement Waterproofing Solutions for a job (design and installation) well done. Your basement waterproofing solution indeed deserves an A+.

I wasn't sure this would end up to be a good idea but, it turned out a very pleasant experience. They did it all from start to finish. They spent the first day and a half gathering the trash and debris left by the tenants. They must have pulled four trailers worth of mess out to the dump. Then they went through the whole place; removing nails from the walls, doing the patchwork on the plaster and lathe (where we wanted it repaired and pulled out where we wanted drywall replaced), sanding all the spots and removing the mess. Then they started in with the heavy repairs in the putting in a couple of windows and hanging the drywall where needed, they taped off all the walls, fixtures and windows to ready it for paint. After painting and waiting for it to dry; then they started outside clearing out the brush and debris left behind. They also worked to dress up the yard with great ideas like window boxes and fresh flowers! . They did all the paint work inside the house and finished up by touching up the outside paint. They went back through the house last time and shampooed the carpets, cleaned the stove and fridge, and put fresh new chalk in all the needed spots. I know I may not have all the right terminology but, these folks Really saved the day! When they left the place was spotless and the time and money we spent was well worth giving up the headache of that mess to someone else and finding they'd done a great job! Wonderful!"

"The customer service gives you the impression once they sale you a contract they go and hire subcontractors to perform the work yet there customer service fails to timely order the equipment needed for the job. I've never heard so many apologies' . There project coordinator seems to have many excuses at one point I was informed that I had all the supplies required for my bathroom remodel job I had to inform him we did not have the flooring, the drywall the wall for around the tub and much more. This job took so long I had to call the bank and get an extension for the bathroom remodeling loan. The plumber had to come out to the job twice due to him not installing the water pipes in the correct location. Then the plumber went on vacation and was not available to complete the job so I had to go another weekend without my bathroom. Monday arrived and a different plumber arrived and he hooked everything up with the exception of the bathroom sink, It did not line up he stated. Tuesday arrived and a different plumber arrived and went to Home Depot and purchased a 86 cent tube and hooked the sink up. All during the month lone project for a med. size bathroom remodeling job I sent in emails with issues and trying to determine if I had to be at home for deceivers or if anyone was just reporting to work today. I would not hear from the company only when I called and they were either out or in meetings. After the job was completed than I hear from the production manager stating he has read my complaints and he also apologized. I informed him the workers did a fine job the customer service portion was not good at all. By the way after the job was complete I quickly heard from them to sign off on the job. I'm sitting here waiting for the inspection to be complete which I had to inform the caller I received yesterday I wasn't signing off until the inspector arrived and ok the job. Will not hire this company again"
