"We really lucked out when I called to see about getting the inside of our new place, Ben said his crew was suppose to paint the outside of a house but because it was going to rain , We were lucky enough he painted inside our house. He and Oliver did an awesome job, And did it quickly, cleaned up and did it at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend Ben at May Remodeling. If you can get him, he is very busy. Plan on getting to remodel a bathroom for us this winter. Thumbs up for May Remodeling."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Scrape softened caulk with a putty knife or slice hardened caulk with a utility knife. Hard-to-remove caulk generally requires more time exposed to a softening solution, like a commercial product or rubbing alcohol. A few hours to a day later, the softened caulk will come off with the help of common household tools. In many cases, you can grab needle-nosed pliers for caulk with multiple old layers and pull the material off its base.

DIY is possible with strippers or sanding, but professional services ensure efficiency and prevent surface damage.

Yes, paint thinner can damage some surfaces. Specifically, it can cause a lot of damage to laminate flooring if applied incorrectly.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.
