His original quote clearly stated the job would include taping, mudding, sanding, and priming ? but after doing only the taping and mudding, he suddenly claimed sanding and priming were ?extra" To make matters worse, the mudding work he did do is full of bubbles and looks terrible. When I tried to discuss it with him and find a solution, he hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest from start to finish. Don?t make the same mistake I did ? look elsewhere for someone who stands behind their word and does quality work."

Generally, shower walls should not be installed over drywall because of the moisture issues this can cause. If you’re using a direct-to-stud shower kit, you need to remove the drywall before you can do the installation.

However, if you’re using a glue-up shower kit or stall, you can glue the shower walls directly to drywall. Be sure to install a moisture-resistant drywall or waterproof cement board.

You can prevent air leaks and sagging by gluing a drywall ceiling. However, not every drywall job is a good fit for Sheetrock adhesive, and many pros say ceilings are one of those cases. You may not need to use a drywall anchor, depending on what you're hanging and where you're hanging it. If you can nail or screw into a wooden stud, the wood will provide enough support and stability in many cases. If you're hanging something very lightweight, you can use picture hanging strips to hold it in place. 

Here’s another instance of where the answer is you could, but that doesn’t mean you should. Yes, part of the issue is getting the drywall to stay in place on the tiles, and it’s understandable that screws will crack the tiles and cause them to crumble.
