"Outstanding service. Emailed to request a quote on Sunday night and we had an estimate by Monday and as soon as we approved the estimate, they started on removing the trees. My wife and I had also done some clean-up of smaller trees and yard debris on our own and Flynn's disposed of it for us for no additional charge. All of our work was completed as soon as they were able to get Julie to come out and mark utilities. After the trees were removed, they did a great job cleaning up the yard and you could hardly tell we had trees removed at all. Hard-working, professional, pleasant and prompt. No complaints and will definitely call again or refer to friends for any future work."

He is knowledgeable about all the needs to be done with the general business aspect as well. He pointed out issues with the Redbud tree that I didn't ask about and put it in the estimate at a steeply discounted price. He seemed to impress my mother in law with his businesslike manner. He did me a favor by sending pictures of his work via cell phone as I was not immediately available to inspect. I would hire him again."

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.

Although many tree roots will continue to grow after the tree has been cut, there are a handful of exceptions to this rule. While species like elms, ficus, and willows have roots that will regrow with a vengeance, pine, oak, and maple roots will die when they’re cut down.
