"It was our third time using The Handy Veteran and it will not be the last. Kevin and his team are absolutely top notch! Our first job with Kevin was to replace and paint all of the wood and trim in our entire house, replace carpet with LVP flooring on a third of the floors in our 3000sqf home, refaced our fireplace, install a new front door, & paint the entire house. Second job was to repair and paint our large deck. This last job was to replace more floors, remodel our guest bathroom and hang multiple lights fixtures. Our first job was in 2020 and the initial work they did is still perfect. Kevin stands by his work. He is not satisfied until the job is done right and was extremely accommodating to all of our requests. He wanted us satisfied and happy with the work and even made some great suggestions that really enhanced the final outcome. Him and his team are extremely respectful of our time, professional, friendly and trustworthy. Also very fair with their pricing! "

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

DIY stucco is better suited for repairing stucco siding or siding a smaller building, such as a shed or garage. Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.

Most homeowners can remain in their homes during stucco removal, but expect noise, dust, and limited access to certain areas. For extensive projects or if hazardous materials are present, temporary relocation may be recommended for safety and comfort. Before removal begins, seal off the work areas and use air purifiers to minimize the spread of dust.
