"SunControl was great to work with! Very respectful of me and my house and cleaned up when they were done. I had them do both window tinting and blinds. Although it wasn't a large job, I was treated as though it was. I would definitely use them again."

"I had roof damage caused by racoons tearing up the shingles. When I contacted Mike, the owner of AGAPE, he was courteous and responded to my request for a bid the next day. I accepted the bud on the spot but due to rain the Mike could not perform the patch job the following day as planned but did respond and complete the work the day the rain stopped. Mike and his employees were always courteous and lived up to the logo of AGAPE, "Doing Good Things for Others"

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

The best windows to tint are those that get the most direct sunlight—particularly sunroom windows or windows facing the south or east where the sun shines most brightly throughout the day. If your pets have favorite windows to lie in front of, you may want to consider those, as well, to protect their skin from sun damage.

Costs depend on window size, film quality, UV protection level, and installation complexity.

Solar screens reduce glare and block UV rays, which may slightly dim natural light and alter the view from inside. However, most homeowners find the trade-off worthwhile for improved comfort and energy savings. The impact depends on the screen’s color and density, with darker screens blocking more light but providing enhanced glare reduction and privacy.

The most popular way to remove home window tint is by using a hairdryer. Most people already have one in their home, but if you don’t, you can buy one for as little as $15. All you need to do is turn the hairdryer to its hottest and highest setting and run it over the window tint for a few minutes. Then, you can easily peel it away. You may need some goo remover for any leftover adhesive, but this DIY could be free for many people.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.
