Hi, I’m Corbin, co-owner of PrecisionNorthwest with my brother Landon—a family-owned landscaping business we’re only serving the Idaho Panhandle. \nBorn and raised in the Silver Valley, I’ve been passionate about my beautiful yards since I was 15yr. My mom raised us after our dad left when I was nine, teaching hard work, integrity, and pride and to not take the shortest route.\nAfter years at three local companies handling everyday yard care, we started PrecisionNorthwest for reliable family service. We focus on hassle-free maintenance: regular mowing & crisp edging, seasonal cleanups (leaves & debris hauled away), mulching for weed control & soil health, planting low-maintenance natives shrubs that handle our snow, rain & short seasons, plus eco tips to save you time & money.\nHonest pricing, on-time arrival, spotless cleanups, clear communication & satisfaction guarantee. As neighbors, we treat your yard like our own. Ready for an easy, great-looking yard? Contact us today!

"I had multi-years of yard debris, a broken lawn swing, last year’s fall clean-up piled for removal and a 10’ by 40’ old wooden deck for demolition and removal. There were also sprinklers which were broken from last season and no one would respond for repair. Established lawn maintenance companies failed me with no response—too busy. These are credible and self-driven individuals who want to make a success of their business. They know that word of mouth is the best source of new work. I have a stack of their business cards for distribution in an effort to spread the word to hire this company for many handy-jobs. If your needs are not listed on their business cards—ask them. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at their experience in construction, lawn maintenance, and indoor cleaning."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Implement overseeding and fertilization to maximize aeration benefits and strengthen your lawn.

Depending on the method you choose to remove grass, it may or may not matter whether the grass is wet or dry when you perform the task. A dryer lawn will be easier to negotiate with a sod cutter, especially if you're not planning to reuse the turf. However, using a shovel by hand might be a little easier if the ground is slightly damp but not so much that it sticks to the tool.

On average, lawn stripes will last about two weeks. This timeline gives you plenty of elbow room to perfect your skills since your designs will always fade if you’re unhappy with the results. For best results and to keep your grass healthy, change the direction of each stripe every two weeks.

The time you should wait before walking on new grass depends on whether you used seed or sod. If you laid new grass seed, it's best to wait about eight weeks before stepping on it, as new grass is fragile. For sod, it typically establishes itself in the ground in about two weeks. For heavy traffic, like driving a car across a new grass driveway, you might need to wait an entire season.

Cut your lawn a bit shorter before the winter, typically between 2 and 2½ inches, depending on the variety of grass. On average, the best height to cut grass typically falls between 2 and 3 inches throughout the year. Aim for the shorter side of this range when you mow for the last time of the year to avoid common winter lawn diseases and moisture issues.
