"A different contractor was much more prompt in responding  to my Angie's list request, so I went with them instead of this contractor. No site visit was volunteered, but this was a pretty small project for them.  Nice phone presence.

"10 x 20 patio-extension. "Rock Hard Concrete's" crew, did an EXCELLENT JOB at a competitive price. Arrived on schedule. Completed the work: efficiently & professionally. Then cleaned up, after themselves ... I would use them again."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Building a sunroom can take anywhere from two weeks to six months. An average-sized sunroom typically takes between two and eight weeks to complete, but more elaborate or larger projects can take longer. The final timeline depends on factors such as the sunroom's size, features, structural requirements, type, and whether it's a retrofit or a new build from scratch.

Aluminum, vinyl, and wood all offer unique benefits for durability and aesthetics.

A Florida room is a home addition that has finished walls with windows lining the perimeter, while a screened-in porch, also known as an Arizona room, lacks windows and instead has screens to maintain constant ventilation. Florida rooms provide longer enjoyment throughout the year because they’re closed off and will naturally get heated from the sun, while a screened-in porch will just be the same temperature as the ambient air.

Yes, a screened-in porch will increase your property taxes because it has a foundation and is considered a permanent improvement to your land. The exact amount your taxes will go up depends on the value of your existing home, the value added by the screened-in porch, the size of the structure, your location, and more.

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.
