"David Gentry arrived on time and cleaned our porcelin tile floor. He also changed the grout color and shaved down corners of tile that had become a trip hazard. When he finished , our 20 plus year old floor looked brand new. He worked all day until the floor was perfect. David is a professional who helped us pick the best grout color. I highly recommend his service."

"

the leak was a drip at an elbow on the softener cold water feed. it had dripped a long time as it didn't show until the sheetrock was

saturated and mold started. I opened the ceiling and the wall and located how for it had run giving me a good look at the zigzag

placement of the water line when the softener was installed. The provider readily agreed to clean that up with the cost of a foot or two of pipe. I am completely happy

"We interviewed Jerey Anderson in our existing home regarding a large Trex deck that needed to be replaced at our newly purchased home. Since my wife and I were moving from a three level home to a single level home due to our handicapped needs from disability, we were very concerned about using a skilled, knowledgeable and professional contractor who would listen to our needs and concerns with modifying this project to meet our specific and customized needs. Large scale custom projects like this can be extremely scarey and worrisome to launch, especially when you have had projects in the past that have left us hanging high and dry with work that was not completed. But during the interview process, Jeremy spoke to us in a very knowledgeable manner that helped us dream with him, the exact modifications we requested. You get a read on professional people sometimes that could leave you unsure about if they would be a good fit for the dreams you plan for and need. His mannerisms, attentive listening skills and reassuring ability to explain how to complete the work in a way that took away our concerns, addressed all our questions and arrived at a very affordable price just gave us a feeling that his family run business felt like a loving father that you would go to for extremely wise and experienced advice for a very complex , scar.scarey y and concerning project. As the project unfolded, we were updated frequently with texts, consulted by phone, and sent photos of the progress. We were never unwelcome to show up at a moments notice to view the work, talk to the crew, or review the progress of out dream turning into a reality. Not only was the work being completed per his detailed contract that clearly explained the work to be done, but his attention to detail exceeded oue expectations. Even his crew worked in a very protective and respectful way that kept the work site safe, highly organized and unexpectedly clean. We would recommend Jeremy Anderson and his crew to anyone in a heartbeat. In fact, we give permission to Jeremy t to share photos of the completed work and to have you contact us regarding our experience through this process."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

Suggesting regular dusting and spot cleaning to maintain freshness.

Yes, vinegar and water can strip wax. For a DIY wax stripper, mix about a quarter cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water. You can also mix one cup of cream of tartar, one cup of white vinegar, and one gallon of water. Before using it on a large area of the floor, you should test it in an inconspicuous place to make sure it works like you want it to.

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.
