"While the siding on my house looks great and the install green did a good job overall the company left a bad taste in my mouth with its lack of communication form the office about when the crew would show up and start working. I also didn’t appreciate them working on house through the weekend. After they completed the siding the left and said a dumpster would be delivered so they could clean up the trash but it’s been about a week and the trash is still there with no information about when they’ll be back to clean it up."

Would not answer my phone calls most of the time but when I actually got a hold of him he told me that he would go finish but never would. It?s been over a year and a half and now he won?t answer my calls. Not a great experience to work with him. Not a great business ethic. I just wish people were honest and would do the worth they were paid to do. "

We don’t recommend hiring a stucco pro to apply this feature when the temperatures are below freezing, so it’s best to avoid applying stucco siding to your home during the winter. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for stucco siding professionals, so you could save money by doing the work in the off-season: the late fall.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

The durability and overall longevity of house cladding varies by the material, but the average lifespan is between 15 to 25 years. Metal cladding is generally the most durable and long-lasting, with a life expectancy of up to 100 years. Environmental factors such as climate, humidity, moisture, and UV exposure can all play into how long cladding lasts.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

Fresh stucco on your home can boost your home’s value. Stucco is versatile, fire-resistant, and very durable. Even though having stucco replaced is a big undertaking, it’s cheaper to remove and replace than other materials such as wood or vinyl. If you are preparing to sell your home, buyers would love to know that the home they are purchasing has new stucco that will easily last 50 or more years.
