"They used Jack's that can be custom cut and a steel beam to support the house. The concept is really good, the execution was done very poorly, they didn't cut them long enough to raise the house enough to be level, which is what I was paying them 8000 for! So they raised it a bit and probably realized they didn't cut them long enough and called it quits. They then gave me a poor excuse of the house is too heavy to raise it more with the Jack's that they used which are meant for that, not only that but it is being supported by them right now so...... Majorly disappointed,but hey at least it's not supposed to sink any more I guess."

While plumber’s tape is a great solution for many plumbing problems, there are some times when it’s not the right product for the job at hand. 

You shouldn’t use plumber’s tape on pipe connections in any of the following scenarios:

  • When connecting PVC pipes

  • If the pipe has wide threads, as water can still leak through the space between the threads

  • If the pipe has very tight threads, as the tape would prevent a proper connection

  • If the pipe threads are damaged, which would prevent the tape from providing a watertight seal

Yes, you can clean a toilet tank with white vinegar. Before you do, shut off the water supply to the toilet. Then, flush it to empty the tank. However, for the best water quality, you should use copper pipes with lead-free joint material. The next best options for carrying drinking water are CPVC and PEX pipes.

If you use copper pipes for drinking water, you should check your water’s pH level. If it has a pH value lower than seven, you'll need to balance your water acidity with a purifier to avoid corrosion that could affect your drinking water quality.
