"They used Jack's that can be custom cut and a steel beam to support the house. The concept is really good, the execution was done very poorly, they didn't cut them long enough to raise the house enough to be level, which is what I was paying them 8000 for! So they raised it a bit and probably realized they didn't cut them long enough and called it quits. They then gave me a poor excuse of the house is too heavy to raise it more with the Jack's that they used which are meant for that, not only that but it is being supported by them right now so...... Majorly disappointed,but hey at least it's not supposed to sink any more I guess."

When it comes to PEX versus copper, you'll find that many plumbers prefer PEX, which doesn’t corrode or allow for sediument buildup and is less likely to burst under freezing conditions. PEX is also flexible, so your pro won’t need to install joints to create certain angles. Provided it’s up to local codes, your plumber can also snake PEX through smaller holes in the wall without making additional cuts.

Most faucets come with a rubber or plastic gasket that prevents leaks—but that’s not always the case. If your faucet doesn’t come with a gasket or it’s leaking, use a caulk gun to seal the gaps and prevent water damage.

Sometimes when a pipe bursts in a house, it makes a clang or popping noise; however, that doesn’t mean you’ll hear it. Newer pipes tend to be quieter than older pipes. Plus, a pipe can easily burst out of earshot, especially if it’s a floor or two away from you.

  • High water pressure: High water pressure is hard on pipes over time and can cause cracks and leaks, too.

Plumbing emergencies might include burst pipes or major pipe leaks, major drain clogs, lack of hot water, a gas leak, or a sewer line backup. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide if a plumbing problem constitutes an emergency. If leaving the issue alone until regular business hours means your home will incur more damage or put your family at risk, then it’s typically considered a plumbing emergency—and worth calling up an emergency plumber to come fix the issue as soon as possible.
