Customers say: Quick response

"Miller Landscape did an excellent job of removing two wood walls and replacing them at the back of our house. They did this during some of hottest days of the summer. The access to these walls was limited so all materials had to be hand carried. They their bid was about 1/2 the other bid I received and there were no extra charges. They were a pleasure to work with!"

"Better, even, than we had hoped. Price was very reasonable and they were done in less than a day. Everything we needed: 36,000 pounds of weeds and debris removed and new soil put down, done almost immediately. Would both hire them again and recomend."

"We hired Stone Landscaping to remove a downed tree in our yard caused by the Iowa derecho. During removal several issues arose that the contractor was more than happy to address and correct. They also gave us s competitive price for tree removal that was more than fair."

"Mike and his workers were very hard-working. They were also pleasant to be around. They were accommodating when I asked them to either wear foot covers or remove their shoes as we had just had the carpets cleaned the day prior. The only complaint I had was that the glass from a 150+ year old antique China hutch was accidentally broken. Also, I donâ t think moving furniture is their main business as is hauling/removing junk. The sofa and other living room furniture got deep stains as they were drug across the dirty trailer & truck beds. We did have some junk removed as well and they did that very professionally. I would recommend them for their hauling service."

"Saved us! He came in and took over an incomplete wallpaper-removal and paint job in kitchen & great room. Quoted me an hourly rate since the job had already been started (instead of his usual price/job). I was nervous about that before he started, but he worked really hard without stopping and the total price was reasonable. He came back early & stayed late to get job finished before Christmas company arrived. Thorough prepping before working & clean-up afterwards. He also suggest a $10 fix to my ceiling, which looks great and meant we didn't have to repaint the whole ceiling. I would use him again, and highly recommend. Very professional.

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

By using PPE, sealing work areas, and following containment procedures.

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.
