"Wireone states they give you qoute before the service. When I asked how much GFCI outlet change would cost, call center agent gave me $ 69. Turns out this was just for sending an electrician and the price was $227. I don't think this was electrian's fault but be wary of wireone's deceptive marketing practice."

We install home automation systems. We can automate door locks, thermostats, garage openers, and lighting. We also do camera systems that include doorbell cameras, indoor cameras and outdoor cameras. Home security is also something we specialize in

"Well I guess I should have looked here before giving these con-artists my business! Well I'll add some color to these lames... 1. This company is deceitful. They totally got me in communicating the contract terms. They told me that I could finance the equipment for 60 months, but only have a 36 service contract, with the understanding that if/when I stopped service I would need to pay off the equipment. I agreed to that, but they snuck in that 60 month term and I didn't catch it. Now of course they wont honor it. 2. Their equipment is HORRIBLE! I had to replace my thermostats, yes both, after they died. Of course just after my year warranty expired! Their cameras (yes it is their best) don't work. I can walk to my car, get in and drive away for hours, come back and the camera will show that I never left (yes the settings are right on the cameras). Of course, its going to cost me money for them to come out and fix it. 3. They are dangerous, creating a false sense of security for my family. It's better to have no security at all! Oh when I call, that's when they stand behind their contract...maybe if they tried standing behind your products and service they would earn a higher rating than 1.06 stars."

No. Blue wires and black wires are different. Even though both are used as hot wires, they serve different functions. Black wires are far more common in residential properties. They are always hot, can be positive or negative, and usually carry electricity from a power source to an outlet. Blue wires have a specialized usage in residential properties, generally as traveler wires, and are more common in commercial properties.

Compared to amps, volts, and watts, ohms are a different kind of measurement, though also very common. Ohms show the resistance of materials like wiring: How much they impede the flow of electrons. The reason household wiring is usually copper or aluminum is that these materials are affordable and also have lower ohms, which means low resistance/high conductivity.

In theory, a standard breaker can trip around 50 times before it needs replacing if overloading is the cause of your breaker tripping. In practice, you may find that number is much lower, however. If a high current fault causes your breaker to trip, you may only be able to reset the breaker two times before replacing it.

The color code for the common sprinkler wire is white, and then you can assign the remaining color codes to the rest of the wires for different sprinkler zones. For example, you could use red for the first zone, then blue for the second, and so on.

Color-coding helps you keep track of which wires go to specific zones so that you or a pro can address any issues or repairs quickly. Check your local electrical code for any requirements regarding sprinkler wire colors.

While you can plug most electrical items into a GFCI outlet, some with stationary motors, which experience a small amount of current leakage, such as vent fans or fluorescent lighting, can cause tripping. For this reason, it’s often best to plug them into a standard outlet. This can also be a problem if the circuit is over 100 feet long. Some appliances, such as hair dryers, have built-in GFCI protection, so connecting them to a standard outlet is fine.
