Spikes are a humane alternative that deter nesting without harming the birds. In small areas, like vents, a very fine mesh net can be installed to prevent the bird from returning. These nets don't generally pose a risk to the birds.
To keep deer from eating your trees, you can either put up barriers or install a deer repellant. Barriers that protect trees from deer include tree wrap or fencing. You can also plant deer-resistant trees to prevent deer from eating or scraping against your trees or garden with plants that deer don’t like to be around.
It’s difficult to be sure bed bugs are gone, especially with DIY methods. Any treatment you use should also include dedicated beg bug traps to pick up stragglers and help you monitor how many are left. It usually takes around three weeks to clean up remaining bed bugs and make sure they aren’t returning any time soon. Hiring a bed bug exterminator can decrease the amount of time it takes to remove these pests.
Aside from incorporating smells that roaches hate in your bedroom, such as citronella, lemongrass, or clove oil, there are a few ways you can keep roaches away at night. First, try moving your bed away from the wall, as roaches will often climb the walls and onto your bed. If you’re still having trouble, you can also purchase a mosquito tent for your bed, or hang netting from the ceiling to surround your sleeping area. Make sure it isn’t touching the ground, though, as they may attempt to climb it.
