"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"Rod was very pleasant to work with and the job was completed as expected. The crew showed up a little late, but didn't affect the time-line or the outcome. The project was completed on-time, on-budget, and looks great! I would use R & J Williams again for any house projects."

"Cory and his team were great to work with. Cory was honest from the beginning about some issues we might have with the insurance company but said they would help us deal with them and he did. He was there from the beginning from explaining everything in detail to coming over on short notice to meet the adjuster to dealing with the back and forth with the insurance company. They have made the process a lot less stressful compared to what it could have been. Cory and his team are great to work with."

Siding questions, answered by experts

A brick exterior for your home has many advantages over other types of siding. While brick siding and veneer are more expensive, they’re also durable, long-lasting, and weather-resistant. Brick siding is aesthetically appealing, and can help to increase the value of your home. It’s also easy to maintain brick siding.

Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.

Many people remove aluminum siding to get to the wood underneath, allowing them to paint, stain, or finish the wood to give the home a brand-new aesthetic. With that in mind, you find plywood and related types of wood underneath aluminum siding, but you also run into fiber cement board, strand board, and a diverse array of other building materials. It depends on the original design of the house.

The living space of a home doesn’t correlate directly with how many square feet of siding you’ll need, but on average, a 2,000-square-foot home will need 1,700 square feet of siding or 17 squares of siding. Your siding measurements will vary depending on the layout of your home, the number of stories, the size of your doors and windows, and even your roof style.

The best siding to cover brick is vinyl or metal siding. Vinyl is low maintenance and affordable, while metal is highly durable and offers some of the best insulation on top of brick. Fiber cement is another great option. Though you can install wood siding on top of brick, it’s not as ideal.
