There are generally three ways to ship furniture to another state: hiring professional movers, using consolidated freight, or through parcel shipping. Professional movers will generally pack your boxes in a truck and transport them to a storage facility or directly to your home. 

A consolidated freight service will pack, load, and ship your items, but this is best to use for one or two pieces since your items will take longer to be delivered and will share truck space with other items. Parcel shipping such as UPS and FedEx is best for smaller items since there are size limits, and you’ll have to drop the boxes off at a local branch.

Your furnace rests at the center of one of the most complicated infrastructures in your home. Air intakes, ducts, water, electricity, and sometimes gas connect up to the system. Most of these lines were run to this point specifically to service the furnace, so they’ll need to be closed up and new ones established.  A furnace is almost always connected to the air conditioner, so you’ll probably be moving those components as well.

Moving a furnace a few feet is probably no big deal. Moving it into a different part of the house is a different story.

Depending on your safe’s size and weight, we don’t recommend moving the safe without hiring professional movers. A moving service will have the equipment and skills necessary to move this heavy, bulk item safely. If you insist on moving it yourself, enlist the help of a few friends to help you move the gun safe with a furniture dolly.

On average, it may take around three to five hours to complete the process of moving a hot tub, from disconnecting and draining it to actually moving it. The time required for hot tub moving depends on various factors, including the tub's size, accessibility, and distance to the new location.

It is generally worth moving a shed if the structure is in good condition, you have space for it at the new location, and the cost to move it is less than the cost of buying or building a new one. You should weigh the pros and cons, particularly for long-distance moves where transportation can be expensive. If your shed is in disrepair or the relocation cost is too high, it likely isn't worth moving, and installing a new shed at your new property may be a better choice.
