"Im a realtor and use/recommend Arwood waste for junk removal/dumpsters on properties that have renovations or rental cleanup. Cheapest Ive found and has always been right on time while providing a professional service. Last time I needed junk removal was for a home we were selling where the renter destroyed the home and left it full of junk and trash. The young man for Arwood Waste showed up a little early and removed all junk from inside and out on the driveway which required two loads. I came back to inspect and was surprised to see that not only was the junk/trash removed but both inside the house and the driveway had been cleaned and swept. I did not expect that...worthy of me coming online to write a review."

Waste Removal Services questions, answered by experts

For concrete that’s under 3 inches thick, use a crowbar or a wrecking tool like a sledgehammer to pry the concrete, starting at the corners and working toward the center. You’ll need a jackhammer to break up concrete that’s over 3 inches thick. Do your homework if you use a jackhammer; you’ll need full protective gear that includes a hard hat, safety goggles, and steel-toed boots.

Aerosol cans that are not empty generally are not recyclable, and you’ll need to separate them from recyclable, empty cans. This rule varies by location, so you’ll need to contact your local sanitation department to find out whether you can put these items in the recycling bin or if you must take them to a disposal facility. In most cases, aerosol cans that aren’t completely empty are considered hazardous waste and require special disposal practices.

To dispose of a tin roof, first check with local waste management services or recycling centers for proper disposal options, as many accept metal roofing for recycling. If necessary, you can hire a professional removal service to ensure safe and efficient disposal. In some cases, the roof installer will dispose of the old roof for you.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

Rubber mulch is recyclable and should not be disposed of in landfills. Contact local recycling centers or rubber mulch manufacturers, as many offer take-back programs. You can also repurpose it for other landscaping projects, donate it to schools or community parks, or sell it online. If removal is necessary, use a shovel and rake to collect the mulch, then transport it to the appropriate disposal or recycling facility.
