"Coastline designed and sourced plants for my yard revamp. They worked with some existing trees and plants to design a beautiful tropical setting, finding all varieties of plants and trees (some very unusual) in the colors I wanted to create my yard oasis."

"OFA Landscaping was outstanding. Arrived on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned up everything from the job. The workers was very nice and professional. The Job done then what we expected. The price was very reasonable for cutting down the large tree and removing a huge stumb."

"Owner Willy did an awesome job on the concrete slab for my new home, as well as the driveway, patio, and sidewalk. He is an expert masonry, takes great pride in his work, and he is a very honest and good person. I will definitely call on Willy to do work at my house in the future."

"He arrived at the appointed time and worked on the front yard mowing and weedwhacking the lawn. After about two hours, he redirected to the plumbago plants/roots on our back wall.  My wife said he was very polite.  Because he didn't know he had to dig, he didn't bring his tools for digging, so he used my tools.  All in all, he did a good job.

Patios questions, answered by experts

Prefab kits like a small sunroom for around $20,000 or even a basic gazebo roof for as little as $60 can save you big over professional installation. However, you lose the option for customization, and these structures tend not to last nearly as long. As for bigger projects like a deck or patio, you shouldn’t go with the DIY route unless you’re fully prepped with the tools and know-how to get it done right. Mistakes can be frustrating and costly, so choose a pro if you’re looking to eliminate your risk of error.

A lanai is a covered patio with open walls, while a Florida room has sides made of mesh screens or windows, with or without partial low walls. In addition, lanais often use concrete or other patio flooring, while Florida rooms may have more indoor-style flooring like tile or wood. Both allow you to enjoy the outdoors without being in the direct sun, but a lanai doesn’t offer any barrier against insects or debris.

A screened-in porch can add value to your home, but it won’t count toward the total square footage at an appraisal or when it comes time to sell. A screened-in porch is not fully enclosed, usable year-round, insulated, or heated or cooled, so it doesn’t meet the requirements of livable square footage in most locations.

Building a sunroom is usually less expensive than the cost of building a home addition, but it depends on the type of sunroom. A four-season sunroom will cost more than a home addition because it’s basically a home addition with larger, more expensive windows. All other types of sunrooms will be more affordable than a home addition of an equivalent size because they don’t have insulation, heating, cooling, electrical connections, or plumbing.

A screened-in porch can add value to your home, with a potential return on investment (ROI) of 70% to 84%. The actual value added depends heavily on several factors. Climate is a major consideration; homes in warm, humid, or buggy areas (like the Southern regions) see the highest ROI. In colder climates, the value is diminished as the unconditioned space is unusable for much of the year. Other factors that influence the return include the quality of materials and construction, the size of the porch, and the local real estate market. While a screened-in porch can enhance curb appeal and attract potential buyers, it is not included in the home's total square footage for appraisal purposes.
