My dryer wasn't drying efficiently, taking two hours or more to dry one load of towels. A friend had mentioned that cleaning the dryer vent was the answer. So at 4:50 on a Saturday afternoon, I called DVS to see if I could get an appointment for Monday since I had already taken time off from work for that day. Jim Adams, the owner, answered the called and said he could work me in for first thing Monday morning. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He first looked at the back of the dryer and saw that it wasn't connected properly to the outside vent; he cleaned what he could from that angle and made the correct connection. He then examined the interior vent of the dryer, cleaning and testing for fabric softener build-up. After all of that, he went to the roof where he removed a very large piece of petrified lint and then thoroughly cleaned the vent. When he started, there was no air flow from the vent, but there was plenty when the cleaning was completed. From start to finish, the job probably took an hour. Jim was very personable and very accommodating to my schedule. I will definitely use DVS when my vent needs to be cleaned again.
Initially, two technicians came out to clean my air ducts. There was an older man and a young man who appeared to be a teenager. They were both friendly and appeared to be professional. They completed the work and everything appeared to be in order...until a couple of days later when I noticed a rattling sound coming from the vent in my bedroom whenever the furnace came on. Assuming that the vent cover was loose or too tight, I removed it and reattached it. The rattling persisted. It eventually became so annoying that I could no longer ignore it, so I phoned the company and requested that a technician come back out to resolve the problem.
RJ, who was not the original technician, came out to investigate the problem. He went into the attic to investigate the problem. Though I had not gone up into my attic to inspect the work of the previous technician, I decided to accompany RJ...and I am so glad that I did! I was appalled at what I saw! The covering to the furnace opening was inadequately secured and the surrounding tape was already unraveling around the opening where the previous technician had gained access to the air duct openings. The aluminum coverings over the insulation of several air duct pipes were ripped and torn in several places. RJ was very apologetic and assured me that he would review and repair any and all damage done. Now back to the rattling noise...it turns out that it was, in fact, the vent cover itself. Apparently, the slats became loose somehow after the young technician cleaned it. Instead of just replacing the vent cover, RJ offered a "temporary fix" and put tape across the slats to avoid them from moving and rattling! Therefore, if I decide to adjust the airflow from the vent in my bedroom in the future, I will have to unscrew and remove the vent cover, readjust the TAPE over the slats, and reattach the vent cover to avoid the rattling! Are you kidding me???! Very unprofessional!
Per my request, RJ phoned the home office to request a discount on my services. My request was denied. I will NEVER use them again, NOR do I recommend them. Hopefully, no other issues from this service will arise. If you choose to hire them, I suggest that you inspect the work while they are still in your home.
They did a good job cleaning
One of the best HVAC comes around. I have been using Lance White and his team for over 25 years. They are always honest and professional, making appointments is easy, and they show up on time. I've started referring all my customers to Lance White Heating and A/C; they never disappoint.
Very well. Need to change one of the air conditioning units.
We just bought our house in GA, and Jimmy was one of the only HVAC guys that was willing to come out and look at our system without charging us a fee to give us an estimate. He was VERY through and friendly. He crawled in the attic and took pictures of all the damage in our ducting, and...

Technician arrived on time and repaired our A/C quickly with parts on the truck. I've used Air Experts in the past and have always had good experiences.

"They were hired on October. the 24th of 2024. On that day his employee Brian Steptoe gave me the estimate of 7,800 dollars. At that time I gave him $3,000 dollars to order the material, but I found out he never ordered the material. Every time I talked to him he would lie about the material. So I went to Mr. Corbin s place of business, he promised to put someone else on the roof replacement job. He sent another one of his employees Timothy Sturgis to come and do the job. I had to give $3,932.07 for material that was supposed to be already ordered. So the material finally came, but he ordered the wrong color. So I had too pay another $906.46 for the right color. The right color material comes, Timothy starts on the roof on March 18th, 25th and 28th, before he left that day I told him they were calling for rain he said he would be back on that Saturday March 29th he never showed up. So on Monday March 31st we had a thunderstorm it rained hard, I was at my Moms house my niece call me and said it was raining in my house. So I got in touch with Francis and Timothy to let them know what happened, the ceiling above my bed caved in it was a blessing that I hadn t gotten in bed yet. So one of my co-workers came and tarped it down, he told me it s raining in my house because Tim cut my chimney off and cut all of my vents out and just left holes in my roof, the estimate for the inside damage is $3,840.00 plus $2,500 for labor. I had already talked to another contractor about redoing my porch when the roof was finished, so when he came over he offered to put the tin on so I said okay that s when I found out that Timothy ordered the wrong size tin, so I called lumber city and they wouldn t take it back because that s what Tim ordered. And I never got the fascia boards which Tim said Francis had I paid $1,433.07 for them. And I never got them. So my contractor that did the porch took over the roof replacement. I had to reorder material that was $3,988.70, $2,500 for labor and $1,433.07 for the fascia boards."

"Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

Some of the best methods professionals use for cleaning air ducts include a rotary brush system or a push-pull vacuum system. A rotary brush will scrub dust and debris loose from the inside walls of your air ducts. Typically, the rotary brush will catch most of the dust, but a vacuum will help remove any remaining loose particles. The push-pull method forces air into the duct from one end, and a vacuum on the other end pulls that air and the dust it loosens.
Although you may only need to clean your air ducts every three years or so, keeping them clean and clear can offer several benefits including:
Improve indoor air quality
Help alleviate allergy symptoms by reducing mold and pollen in the air
Save on energy costs by allowing maximum airflow efficiency
Reduce odor
Prevent mold and mildew
Help extend the life of your HVAC system
Reduce the risk of house fires from dust and debris build up
The cost for air duct cleaning is about $380, on average. However, costs can range between $270 and $500, depending on location, number of vents, duct accessibility, and how much cleaning is required. Additional factors can impact the cost of cleaning your air ducts, such as removing pests, mold and mildew, asbestos, and other unforeseen needs. Any repairs will also add to the cost of the job.
Yes, air duct cleaning can remove mold from HVAC systems. Air duct cleaning pros can use tools and methods like brushes, cleaners, and vacuums to remove mold from air ducts. Hiring a reputable air duct cleaning service is essential for successful mold remediation from your HVAC system.
